HomeMy WebLinkAboutSKD Engineering Letter to StLucieCountyBldgDept-11-25-20-digitally signed November 25, 2020 St,Lucie County Building Department 2300 Virginia Ave. Fort Pierce, FL 34982 Re: 15371 Skyking Dr Port St Lucie, FL To Whom this concerns: We have reviewed the attached photos with noted redlined descriptions showing the partial filling of “CMU Chair Blocks” for the referenced project now under construction. We approve of having a “cold joint” at the chair blocks and not requiring the slab on grade concrete to be poured at the same time as the stem wall CMU cells (ref.: detail A1 on sheet 7) under the following conditions: 1) At the exterior stem walls where there ill be a wall above, roughen the existing, partially fille concrete in the chair blocks and clean the concrete surface and apply a bonding agent such as Weld Crete. Then pour the slab on grade. 2) At doorways, install additional 90 degree bent rebar dowels with epoxy cement into the existing partially poured concrete (#3 or #4 bent rebars) 2 “ on center and extend 16” into the slab on grade. If you should have any questions regarding this memo please feel free to call or email me at the above telephone number and/or email address. Sincerely, Robert F.
