It is acceptable to replace existing sliding glass door and window openings for the address
listed above as follows:
1) P.W. - The EGS International Rampart series" 5500" Impact alum. window wall system has a
FL# 21899.2. The nominal wind speed is 132 mph and the ultimate wind speed is 170 mph. It
has a +100 /-130 design pressure and has a small missile "D" approval and HVHZ .
2) S.G.D - The EGS International Atlantic series "S.M. 130" Impact aluminum sliding glass
door has a FL# 29677.2. The nominal wind speed is 132 mph and the ultimate wind speed is 170
mph. It has a +130 /-160 design pressure and has a small missile "D" approval and HVHZ.
The worst case scenario building design pressures of address listed above in Zone 4 is +58.7 / -
63.7 and Zone 5 is +58.7 / -78.5. The building has a type II classification and exposure category
"D" for the 6th Edition of the FBC (2017).
