Over the years we have relentlessly pursued improving our products. Our latest models are the finest units we have ever offered. In 2018, Aquatherm introduced the 15th generation Whisper HeatAT150. Incorporating the'lhermolink tube in shell heat exchanger and a double row evaporator coil, it is our most efficient and highest heat output unit we've ever produced. Our "T cabinet design gives our line a fresh new look, while offering one of the quietest pool heat pumps ever produced. HOW A HEAT PUMP WORKS The Aquatherm heat pump utilizes proven refrigerant technology to capture the heat in the outside air and transfer it to the pool water. The fan circulates air across the evaporator coil and the liquid refrigerant absorbs heat from the ambient air, transforming it into a gas. Warm Air In { The gas is then pumped into the compressor, superheat- ing it. The intensely hot gas is then pumped into the heat exchanger where the heat transfer takes place. As the pool water passes through the heat exchanger, the hot gas gives up its heat to the cooler pool water. PAN COMPRESSOR Pool The refrigerant returns to a liquid state and the process EVAPORATOR starts all over again. The result. a warm pool! #rx F4V IRI•.. Typically the automatic internal water bypass can handle up to a 1.5 H.P. water pump or 70 G.P.M. If the water / pump exceeds 1.5 H-P. then install either of the optional / bypasses as shown below. The installation of a flow meter on the WATER OUT line is suggested. Adjust OUT IN the bypass to divert a minimum of 40 to 50 G P M FLOW s through the heater. Use ball valves to balance the water flow through each unit. Using T's. caps and a minimum 6 inch pipe extension on the plumbing mani- fold will help equalize the water flow better than 90"s. Flow meters should be installed per the manufacturer's instructions. 8 Q C2 N N O m !2 LV• N , t` .
