GENERAL NOTE%
1. LIMIT OF DON BERGMAN ARCHITECTURE CONSTRUCTION DOCUMENT SCOPE OF WORK IS
WITHIN FIVE (5) FEET OF THE OUTSIDE PERIMETER OF THE BUILDING.
2. THIS DRAWING IS BASED ON INFORMATION PROVIDED BY THE OWNER IN THE FORM OF
DOCUMENTS PREPARED OTHERS. USE WITHOUT VERIFICATION SHALL BE AT THE USER'S
SOLE RISK.
3. ALL WORK SHALL BE DONE IN STRICT ACCORDANCE WITH APPLICABLE CODES HAVING
JURISDICTION.
4. THE CONTRACT LIMIT NOTATION IS NOT AN EXACT LOCATION. THE CONTRACTOR IS
RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL WORK SHOWN BY THESE DOCUMENTS AND FOR
COORDINATION IN ANY OTHER CONTRACTS THAT MAY OCCUR DURING THE LENGTH OF
THIS CONTRACT.
5. SECURITY AND SAFETY ITEMS FOR CONTRACTOR STAGING/TRAILER AREA (i.e.
CONSTRUCTION FENCES, BARRICADES, CONTRACTOR'S STAGING AREA, etc.) SHALL BE THE
RESPONSIBILITY OF THE CONTRACTOR. MATERIALS AND INSTALLATION SHALL BE AS PER
OSHA OR OTHER APPLICABLE STANDARDS OR CODES AND DETAILS NOTED, WHICHEVER
CONSTITUTES THE MORE STRINGENT REQUIREMENTS.
6. SECURITY AND SAFETY ITEMS FOR THE AREA OF CONSTRUCTION (i.e. TEMPORARY
CONSTRUCTION PARTITIONS, SIGNAGE, BARRICADES, etc.) SHALL BE THE RESPONSIBILITY
OF THE CONTRACTOR. MATERIALS AND INSTALLATION SHALL BE AS PER OSHA OR OTHER
APPLICABLE STANDARDS OR CODES AND DETAILS NOTED, WHICHEVER CONSTITUTES THE
MORE STRINGENT REQUIREMENTS.
7. GENERAL CONTRACTOR AND SUBCONTRACTORS SHALL INSPECT ALL FIELD CONDITIONS
PRIOR TO SUBMITTING A BID. BIDS SHALL INCLUDE ALL WORK TO MEET THE DESIGN
INTENT AND DETAILS IMPLIED BY THESE DRAWINGS.
8. THE SITE PLAN DRAWING IS EXCERPTED FROM A DOCUMENT PROVIDED BY THE OWNER.
THE ARCHITECT HAS MADE A CURSORY REVIEW OF THIS DOCUMENT, BUT MAKES NO
REPRESENTATION FOR REGARDING ACCURACY. ALL DIMENSIONS AND CONDITIONS SHOWN
ON THIS DRAWING SHALL BE FIELD VERIFIED BY THE CONTRACTOR PRIOR TO
COMMENCEMENT OF WORK.
9. THE GENERAL CONTRACTOR AND THEIR SUB -CONTRACTORS ARE RESPONSIBLE TO REVIEW
THE CONTRACT DOCUMENTS, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE DRAWINGS, PROJECT
MANUAL, SPECIFICATIONS, GENERAL CONDITIONS AND REPORTS; AND TO ASSURE
COORDINATION OF ALL WORK AFFECTING EACH TRADE. FAILURE TO REVIEW ALL CONTRACT
DOCUMENTS FOR APPLICABLE ITEMS OF WORK SHALL NOT RELIEVE RESPONSIBLE PARTY
FROM PERFORMING ALL WORK REQUIRED.
10.THE GENERAL CONTRACTOR IS RESPONSIBLE FOR CONSTRUCTION MEANS, METHODS,
TECHNIQUES, SEQUENCES AND PROCEDURES FOR PERFORMING THE WORK UNDER THIS
CONTRACT,
11. ANY DISCREPANCIES WITH THE DRAWINGS, DIMENSIONS, CONFLICTS OR OTHERWISE, SHALL
BE BROUGHT TO THE ATTENTION OF THE ARCHITECT AND VERIFIED PRIOR TO
CONSTRUCTION.
12.THE GENERAL CONTRACTOR SHALL TAKE APPROPRIATE ACTION TO PROVIDE THE
NECESSARY PROTECTION OF THE GENERAL PUBLIC AND PREVENT ACCESS TO THE
PROJECT SITE.
13. THESE DRAWINGS SHOULD NOT i E SCALED TO OBTAIN DIMENSIONS. REFER TO DIMENSIONS
INDICATED. ANY DIMENSION NOT PROVIDED OR MIS -LABELED SHALL BE VERIFIED WITH THE
ARCHITECT PRIOR TO CONSTRUCTION.
14. DIMENSIONS SHOWN ON PLANS ARE TO THE CENTER LINES OF OPENINGS, FACE
OF WOOD STUDS AND CENTER OF CONSTRUCTION LINES.
15.THE GENERAL CONTRACTOR SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL AND ANY SPECIALTY AND/OR
DELEGATED ENGINEERS UNDER THIS CONTRACT. SPECIALTY/DELEGATED ENGINEER SHALL BE
RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL CANOPIES, SKYLIGHT SYSTEMS, BALCONIES GUARDRAILS, METAL PAN
STAIRS, SUN -SCREEN DEVICES, HANDRAIL/GUARDRAIL SYSTEMS, ROOFING SYSTEMS,
MANSARD SYSTEMS AND FOR SYSTEMS MENTIONED ELSEWHERE IN THE CONTRACT
DOCUMENTS.
16.THE GENERAL CONTRACTOR IS RESPONSIBLE TO MAINTAIN A SET OF RECORD DRAWINGS
TO RECORD ANY CHANGES MADE DURING THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE PROJECT. THE
RECORD SET SHOULD REFLECT THE CHANGES ACTUALLY MADE COMPARED TO THE
CONTRACT DOCUMENTS.
17.THE DRAWINGS, SPECIFICATIONS, REPORTS AND OTHER DOCUMENTS INCLUDED UNDER THIS
CONTRACT ARE AN INSTRUMENT OF THE ARCHITECT AND THEIR CONSULTANTS SERVICES
AND SHOULD NOT BE REGARDED AS A PRODUCT. THE CONTRACT DOCUMENTS ARE THE
PROPERTY OF THE ARCHITECT AND CONSULTANTS.
18.THE CONTRACT DOCUMENTS ARE COMPLEMENTARY AND HAVE THE INTENT TO INCLUDE ALL
ITEMS NECESSARY FOR THE PROPER EXECUTION AND COMPLETION OF THE WORK BY THE
CONTRACTOR. THEY DO NOT INDICATE EVERY CONDITION AND DETAIL OF THE WORK.
DETAILS NOT SHOWN SHALL MEET THE MINIMAL INDUSTRIAL STANDARDS FOR SIMILAR
PROJECTS.
19. REQUIREMENTS OF THE SPECIFICATIONS APPLY TO ALL ASPECTS OF THE WORK AND ARE
INCLUDED AS ADDITIONAL INFORMATION FOR EACH ITEM AS SPECIFIED. IF DISCREPANCIES
EXIST BETWEEN THE DRAWINGS AND SPECIFICATIONS, THE MORE STRINGENT REQUIREMENT
SHALL PREVAIL. NOTIFY THE ARCHITECT PROMPTLY OF THE DISCREPANCIES TO OBTAIN
CLARIFICATION.
20. FBC EXISTING BUILDING 501.1 WORK PERFORMED ON AN EXISTING BUILDING SHALL BE
CLASSIFIED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THIS CHAPTER.
504.1 SCOPE. LEVEL 2 ALTERATIONS INCLUDE THE RECONFIGURATION OF SPACE, THE
ADDITION OR ELIMINATION OF ANY DOOR OR WINDOW, THE RECONFIGURATION OR
EXTENSION OF ANY SYSTEM, OR THE INSTALLATION OF ANY ADDITIONAL EQUIPMENT.
