Engineering Inc. visited the site to visually inspect the existing Condo Building N roof s tructure as to its ability to support the proposed new flat concrete tile roof. The existing roof structures are comp)sed of pre -manufactured wood trusses at 24" on center and concrete tile for the roof covering. Base on the visual inspection, and review of the original construction drawings, and to the best of our know edge and professional ability, it is B & B Engineering Inc. opinion that the existing roof structures will be capable of supporting he weight of the New Concrete Tile Roof. The proposed new concrete tile roof will be installed over a new 5/8" plywood sheathing on top of the trusses and wood laths. To meet the required wind loading as per ASCE 7-10, 2017 FBC Exposure B the new 5/8' plywood sheathing shall be nailed to the existing trusses structure using galvanized steel 8"d ring shank nails at 4" on enter edge and 6" center field, also this will meet the required wind load as per 2014 F.B.C. with 160 MPH GUST, exposure B. Also the roof support structure meets the wind loads requirements of Chapter 16 of 2017 FBC statue 553.8425 and it twill capable of resisting hurricane wind forces (+37.7 -47.6 zone 5) if install d in accordance 2017 FBC and as per St. Lucie County Building Department Code and Compliance Accer tance. The new concrete roof shall be attached to the new sheathing and underlayment, mechanically attached with 2D nails per; FRSA/TRI.
