LUCIE COUNTY March 28,2017 30ARD OF COUNTY Eugene Smith COMMISSIONERS 4908 Palmetto Dr. Fort Pierce,FL 34982 CHRIS D7ADOVSKY RE:Finished floor waiver CHAIRMAN DISTRICT 1 Dear Mr. Smith: TOD MOWERY Please accept this letter in response to your written request received March 28,2017 to waive the finished floor elevation of 18"above the crown of the road.The waiver request is for a VICE-CHAIRMAN proposed storage building at 4908 Palmetto Dr.Fort Pierce. DISTRICT 2 Pursuant to Section 7.04.01(C-3)of the St Lucie County Land Development Code,the LINDA BARTZ Planning and Development Services Director has the authority to grant administrative relief, when topographical conditions are such that compliance with this subsection would be DISTRICT 3 impracticable or cause grade level conditions detrimental to adjacent or nearby property, consistent with the intent of the Flood Protection regulations and any other applicable portion FRANNIE HUTCHINSON of this Code. DISTRICT 4 The Planning and Development Services Director has granted your request for administrative relief of the finished floor elevation based on the following determinations: 1 The proposed shed is in the Flood Zone X. CATHY TOWNSEND 2 The center line of the adjacent road is 18.35'NAVD. DISTRICT 5 3 The Proposed finished floor elevation will be the same as the house at 19.10'NAVD' which is 0.75' above the center line of the road. HOWARD TIPTON 4 Raising the finished floor elevation 18"above center line of the road will•bring the floor 0.75"higher than the finished floor elevation of the house and could cause conditions COUNTY ADMINISTRATOR detrimental to adjacent or nearby property and to the existing house. 5 The proposed storage building will be in the rear of the property. DAN MCINTYRE This approval does not in any way constitute authorization to begin construction. Prior to the COUNTY ATTORNEY commencement of any construction on this property,an application for specific building permit must be obtained from this department.
