LUCIE COUNTY April 21,2017 BOARD OF COUNTY Thomas Parker COMMISSIONERS 6100 Oleander Ave Fort Pierce,FL 34982 CHRIS DZADOVSKY RE:Finished floor waiver CHAIRMAN DISTRICT 1 Dear Mr.Parker: TOD MOWERY Please accept this letter in response to your written request received April 17,2017 to waive the finished floor elevation of 18"above the crown of the road.The waiver request is for a VICE-CHAIRMAN proposed storage building at 6100 Oleander'Ave,Fort Pierce. - DISTRICT 2 Pursuant to Section 7.04.01(C-3)of the St Lucie County Land Development Code,the LINDA BARTZ Planning and Development Services Director has the authority to grant administrative relief, when topographical conditions are such that compliance with this subsection would be DISTRICT 3 impracticable or cause grade level conditions detrimental to adjacent or nearby property, consistent with the intent of the Flood Protection regulations and any other applicable portion FRANNIE HUTCHINSON of this Code. DISTRICT 4 The Planning and Development Services Director has granted your request for administrative relief of the finished floor elevation based on the following determinations: CATHY TOWNSEND 1 The proposed shed is in the Flood Zone X. 2 The center line of the adjacent road is 12.58'NAVD. DISTRICT 5 3 The Proposed finished floor elevation will be 6"above the center line of the road at 13.08'NAVD. HOWARD TIPTON 4 Raising the finished floor elevation 18"above center line of the road will create pooling, flooding and/or standing water on all adjacent properties.Raising the slab could cause COUNTY ADMINISTRATOR conditions detrimental to adjacent or nearby property. 5 The proposed storage building will be in the rear of the,property and will have a non= habitable/non-residential use.
