1.0 REPORT PURPOSE AND SCOPE -
Purpose:
The purpose of this evaluation report supplement is to'indicate that Flood Solutions' flood vents, recognized in ICC-ES
master evaluation report ESR-3760, have also been evaluated for compliance with the codes noted below: ,
Applicable code editions:
■ 2014 Florida Building Code—Building(FBC)
■ 2010 Florida Building Code—Building(FBC)

■ 2010 Florida Building Code—Residential(FRC)
2.0 CONCLUSIONS
The Flood Solutions flood vents, described in Sections 2.0 through 7.0 of the master evaluation report ESR-3760, comply
with the FBC and the FRC,.provided the design and installation-are in accordance with the International Building Code
(IBC)provisions noted-in the master report.
Use of the,Flood Solutions' flood vents has also been found to be in compliance with the High-Velocity'Hurricane Zone
provisions of the FBC'and the FRC for structures not subject to 2010 FBC Section 2326.1 or 201.0 FRC 4409.13.3.1, as
applicable.
For products falling under Florida Rule 9N-3, verification that the report holders quality assurance program is audited by a
quality assurance entity approved by the Florida Building Commission for the type of inspections being conducted is the
responsibility of an approved validation entity.(or the code official'when the report holder does not possess an approval by
the Commission).
This supplement expires concurrently with the master report, issued March 2015.

t _ Project Summary: Architectural Testing, Inc. was contracted by Tuff Shed, Inc. to perform
testing per Florida Building Code, Test Protocols for High Velocity Hurricane Zone, Protocol
TAS 202-94 on three(3) Series/Model Premier and three(3) Series/Model Sundance side-hinged
wood double shed doors (outswing). The samples tested met the performance requirements set
forth in the protocols for a ±54.6 psf Design Pressure rating (structural loads only).- Test
specimen description and results are reported herein. The samples were provided by the client.
Test Procedure: The test specimens were evaluated in accordance with the following:
TAS 202-94, Criteria for Testing Impact and Non Impact Resistant Building Envelope
Components Using Uniform Static Air Pressure Loading.
Drawing Reference: The test specimen drawings have been reviewed and verified by
Architectural Testing and are representative of the samples tested.

Panel Construction: The doors were constructed with an interior sheet of 1/2" plywood
sheathing secured to a 1-1/2" square hollow steel door frame with #8 x 1-1/2" square drive
wood"screws located 6" on center and two (2) screws located at each end of every steel tube.
Next, a 15/32" DuratempTM plywood exterior sheathing was secured to the steel frame with
#8 x 1-1/2" square drive wood screws located 6" on center and two (2) screws at each end of
every steel tube. A 3-1/2" wide by 1/2" thick door trim was added to the exterior of the
panel and secured with exterior grade construction adhesive and 7/8" x 0.093" diameter ring
shank nails located 6" on center and two (2)nails at each end of every trim.
The exterior utilized two (2) hurricane spring bolts secured with four (4) #8 x 2-1/4" square
drive wood screws'located through the hurricane spring bolts into the wood panel at 6" from
top and bottom of secondary panels. The interior utilized stainless steel bolt latches secured
with two (2) #8 x 2-1/4" square drive wood screws and two (2) 1/4" x 3-1/2" carriage bolts
with lock washers and nuts.

Panel Construction: The doors were constructed of an interior sheet of 7/16" OSB
sheathing secured to a 1-1/2" square hollow steel door frame with #8 x 1-1/2" square drive
wood screws located 6" on center and two (2) screws located at each end of every steel tube.
- Next, a 3/8" thick LP SmartSide® exterior sheathing was secured to the steel frame with
#8 x 1-1/2" square-drive wood screws located 6" on center and two (2) screws at each end of
every steel tube.. A 3-1/2" wide by 1/2" thick door trim was.added to the exterior of the
w
panel and secured with exterior grade construction adhesive and 7/8" x 0.093" diameter ring
shank nails located 6" on center and two (2)nails at each end of every trim.
The exterior utilized two (2) hurricane spring bolts secured with four (4) #8 x 271/4" square
drive wood screws located through the hurricane spring bolts into the wood panel at 6" from
top.and bottom of secondary panels. The interior utilized stainless steel bolt latches secured
with two (2) #8 x 2-1/4" square drive wood screws and two (2) 1/4" x 3-1/2" carriage bolts
with lock washers and nuts.

Test Specimen Description: (Continued)
The following descriptions apply to all test specimens.
Frame Construction: The frame was constructed of Spruce-Pine-Fir #2 lumber. The
exterior face utilized a 3-1/2" wide by 1/2" thick door trim secured with 2-3/8" x 0.093"
diameter ring shank nails located 6" on center and two (2) nails at each end of every trim. A
7/16" receiving hole with a steel plate was added to the ceiling and floor at the interior bolt
latches.
Finish: All exterior wood was primed.
