Universal Engineering Sciences, Inc. (UES) was retained by DR Horton, Inc. to
inspection the condition of the slab on grade and foundations at the residence under
construction at 3213 Trinity Circle, Ft. Pierce, Florida. We provided observation services
of the already completed slab on grade and foundations and have made every
reasonable effort to ascertain whether those aspects of the project which were inspected
are in conformance with the approved project plans. Two pits were dug beneath the
exterior wall footings and a Proteq Profoscope instrument was used to locate the rebar
in the footings. The dimensions and number of bars found were per the plans. Verticle
steel for masonry wall construction was also located in the exterior footings and found to
be per the plans. A vapor barrier was found beneath the footings. The Profoscope was
also used to find the welded wire fabric in the slab on grade and the thickness and
welded wire were also observed in plumbing cutouts. Our field report is attached.
Based on the information provided above and the to the best of our knowledge
and belief, the slab on grade and foundations for this project were found to be in
compliance with the approved plan documents.

As Requested, a Universal Engineering Sciences Technician was present at the above referenced location for the purpose of
post construction inspection of the house slab. A Proceq Profoscope, was used to verify the presence of reinforcing steel in
footings and slab as per the project plans. 2 areas, one on the north side of the slab and one on the south side of the slab,
were ecavated to below the bottom of the footings. The profoscope detected 2 pieces of reinforcing steel in each of the
footings. WWF was observed in 2 plumbing cut outs in the slab, and scanning of the floor slab detected reinforcement
throughout the slab. The footings measured 18 x 12 inches, as per project plans. Verticle steel coming out of the footings for
the CMU walls, was placed per project plan sheet S-1. A vapor barrier was encountered under the house slab. Images
attached. Compaction test results for the pad are attached.
