This letter is in response to the Plan Review comments dated 2/24/21. The following revisions
have been made in accordance with these comments:
Comment 1: PLAN COVER PAGE PRODUCT APPROVAL SUBMITTAL AFFADAVIT
PRODUCT APPROVAL FL 15225 FOR THERMA TRU DOOR IS NOT A VALID
PRODUCT APPROVAL. I COULD NOT LOCATE IT ON TH FL WEBSITE.
[A]107.2.1 2020 FBC 7TH EDITION.
Response 1: Please note Product Approval FL21135.11 will be used in lieu of FL15225 for the
Therma-Tru Door, Design Pressures are +/- 40.0 psf.
Comment 2: PLAN COVER PAGE PRODUCT APPROVAL SUBMITTAL AFFADAVIT
PRODUCT APPROVAL FL 9174 FOR GARAGE DOORS HAS DESIGN
PRESSURES FOR PRODUCT APPROVAL THAT EXPIRED 12/31/2020.
PROVIDE CORRECT PRODUCT APPROVAL DESIGN PRESSURES.
[A]107.2.1 2020 FBC 7TH EDITION.
Response 2: Please note Product Approval FL9174.8 will be used for the Garage Door,
Design Pressures are +39.20 psf, - 43.70 psf.
Comment 3: PLAN COVER PAGE PRODUCT APPROVAL SUBMITTAL AFFADAVIT
PRODUCT APPROVAL FL 15332 FOR SLIDING DOORS DESIGN
PRESSURES DO NOT MATCH DESIGN PRESSURES SPECIFIEDFOR 2020
PRODUCT APPROVAL. PROVIDE CORRECT PRODUCT APPROVAL
DESIGN PRESSURES. [A]107.2.1 2020 FBC 7TH EDITION.
Response 3: Please note Product Approval FL15332.9 will be used for the Sliding Glass Door,
Design Pressures are +/- 58.20 psf according to chart #2, where water infiltration
resistance is not required on sheet 2 of 10.
Comment 4: PLAN COVER PAGE AT PROJECT AND CODE DATA SPECIFIES 6TH
EDITION OF THE 2020 FBC AND THE 7TH EDITION IS THE CORRECT
EDITION. [A]107.2.1 2020 FBC 7TH EDITION.
Response 4: Please note 2020 FBCR 7TH Edition is to be used for the project, the Master Plan
will be updated to indicate 2020 FBCR 7th Edition.
Comment 5: TRUSS MANUFACTURER, (BUILDERS FIRST SOURCE) TRUSS LAYOUT IS
NOT REVIEWED AND APPROVED BY THE DESIGN PROFESSIONAL OF
RECORD (MICHAEL C. ANDERSON). [A]107.2.1 2020 FBC 7TH EDITION.
Response 5: Please note truss layout shall be reviewed and approved by Architect of Record
and submitted.
