INTRODUCTION:
Thesiteislocatedat6315USHwy1inFt.PierceFlorida.Thesiteiswithinthelimitsof
SaintLucieCounty.UtilitiestothesiteareprovidedbySaintLucieCounty.Thesiteis
currentlyaMobilegasstationwithconveniencestore.Thesiteiscurrentlyservedby
septictankwithdrainfield.Theseptictankanddrainfieldareproposedtobeproperly
removedandorabandonedincompliancewithstateregulations.
Thecivilsiteplansincludeforremoval/abandonmentoftheexistingseptictankanddrain
field.Anewpumpstationwillbeinstalledandtheforcemainisproposedtoconnectto
theexisting16”forcemainlocatedalongthenorthpropertyline.GiantOilhasretained
InfinityEngineeringGroup,LLC.tosecuretheapprovalsrequiredtoconnectthenew
buildingtothepublicutilitysystem.
AVERAGEDAILYFLOW:
TheestimatedsewageflowwascalculatedfromtheFloridaAdministrativeCodeChapter
64EͲ6.UsingtheServiceStation/ConvenienceStoreclassificationoperatinggreaterthan
16hoursperdayandFoodoutletexcludingdelis.Theexistingstationhastwowater
closetsandproposing150SFoffoodservice.Thecorrespondingflowis325GPD/water
closetand10GPDper100squarefeetoffoodservicefloorspace.Thedesignutilizesa
proposedflowof675GPDwithapeakingfactorof3.0.
POINTOFCONNECTION:
Thepointofconnectionforthisproposedpumpstationistotheexisting16”forcemain
locatedatthenorthpropertylinewithintheKingsHighwayROW.Perphonecallwiththe
countyengineer,theallowablediameterforconnectiontoSaintLucieCountyforcemain
is2”.Theproposedforcemainwillextendfromthevalvevaulttothepointofconnection.
SaintLucieCountyUtilitieshasprovidedthemanifoldpressurewithintheexistingmain
of19.3psi.Aconservativevalveof20psiwasusedindevelopingthesystemcurve.See
appendix.
PUMPSELECTION:
BasedontheSystemDataTableandassociatedcurve,anEbaraSubmersibleGrinder
Pump,ModelDGFwithathreeͲphase2HPmotorwitha5.068Ͳinchdiameterimpellerwas
selected.Thepumpsoperatingpointis31GPMat54feetTDHwithacorresponding
velocityof3.17fps.Attachedarethecorrespondingpumpperformancecurveand
