The existing roof structure is composed of pre-manufactured wood trusses at 24" on center with concrete tile for the roof covering. Based on the visual inspection, the roof structure will be capable of supporting the weight of the new concrete roof system. The proposed new Entegra Concrete Tile for the house re-roof cover systems will be installed over the existing 5/8" CDX plywood attached to the trusses structure. To meet the required wind loading as per ASCE 7-10, Exposure B,the existing plywood sheathing will be re-nailed to the existing trusses using galvanized steel 8D ring shank nail at 4" on center edge and 6" center field. The new concrete tile shall be attached to the new self-adhering Polyglasss Tu Max underlayment (FL5259-R25) over the 30#. , with galvanized accessory metals, and install an Entegra Roof tile (FL7804-R9) with ICP Foam adhesive, large patty (FL 6332-R7) and it will install a metal hip and ridge, (FL 15237.1 Rl).as per Miami-Dade County Code compliance acceptances, also concrete roof cover will be installed as per manufacturers recommendations and the 2014 F.B.C. and Saint Lucie County Building Department code and the Manufacturer's recommendations. This review and analysis is a precursory for the determination of the Scope of Work required for this project to replace the existing roof covering for concrete tile roof.
