Subject: RAS-117 Nailing 1 Metal sloped roof
The roofer may secure the CertainTeed Empire all-weather base sheet, for Systems Type
E (4) using 11 gauge annular ring shank nails and 1-518"' dia. tin caps on a portion of the main
house. The mechanical fastener spacing is as follows:
Zone 41 (37 psf) — 8" o.c. in the 4" lap and three rows, staggered, spaced 8" apart
@ 8" O.C.
Zone 42 (62 psf) — 6" o.c. in the 4" lap and three rows, staggered, spaced 6" apart
@ 6" o.c.
Zone 43 (93 psf) 4" o.c. in the 4" lap and three rows, staggered, spaced 4" apart
@ 4" O.C.
All calculations are based on RAS-117 and the information contained in CertainTeed
NOA 20-0110 expiring 06/19/2023. The cap sheet will be CertainTeed Flintlastic GMS.
A portion of the main house will have a sloped metal roof installed. The metal roof will
be a DM Class 1000, 1" nailstrip, 26 ga. galvalume coated steel roof panel, 16
wide, with 1" snap seam.
The design pressures for the sloped metal roof are 37 psf in zone 1, 62 psf in zone 2 and
93 psf in zone 3 for a "C" exposure, less than 15 foot tall average roof height. These fastening
patterns will meet the structural criteria of the 2020 Florida Building code, 7'h. Edition, with a
"C" exposure during a 170 mph.it, 132 mph asd wind event.

SCOPE:
This NOA is being issued under the applicable rules and regulations governing the use of construction materials. The
documentation submitted has been reviewed and accepted by Miami -Dade County RER - Product Control Section to be
used in Miami Dade County and other areas where allowed by the Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ).
This NOA shall not be valid after the expiration date stated below. The Miami -Dade County Product Control Section
(In Miami Dade County) and/or the AHJ (in areas other than Miami Dade County) reserve the right to have this product
or material tested for quality assurance purposes. If this product or material fails to perform in the accepted manner, the
manufacturer will incur the expense of such testing and the AHJ may immediately revoke, modify, or suspend the use
of such product or material within their jurisdiction. RER reserves the right to revoke this acceptance, if it is
determined by Miami -Dade County Product Control Section that this product or material fails to meet the requirements
of the applicable building code.
This product is approved as described herein, and has been designed to comply with the Florida Building Code
including the High Velocity Hurricane Zone of the Florida Building Code.
DESCRIPTION: CertaluTeed Modified Bitumen Roofing Systems over Wood Decks.
LABELING: Each unit shall bear a permanent label with the manufacturer's name or logo, city, state and following
statement; "Miami -Dade County Product Control Approved", unless otherwise noted herein.
RENEWAL of this NOA shall be considered after a renewal application has been filed and there has been no change
in the applicable building code negatively affecting the performance of this product.
TERMINATION of this NOA will occur after the expiration date or if there has been a revision or change in the
materials, use. and/or manufacture of the product or process. Misuse of this NOA as an endorsement of any product, for
sales, advertising or any other purposes shall automatically terminate this NOA. Failure to comply with any section of
this NOA shall be cause for termination and removal of NOA.
ADVERTISEMENT: The NOA number preceded by the words Miami -Dade County, Florida. and followed by the
expiration date may be displayed in advertising literature. If any portion of the NOA is displayed, then it shall be done
in its entirety.
INSPECTION: A copy of this entire NOA shall be provided to the user by the manufacturer or its distributors and
shall be available for inspection at the job site at the request of the Building Official.
This NOA revises NOA No. 18-1127.19 and consists of pages 1 through 48.

The DM Class 1000 Series 26 Ga Galvalume 1` Nailstrip 16" Wide Roof Panel, manufactured by Dynamic
Metals LLC is a non-structural galvaiume coated Fluropon painted steel roof panel (50 kst min) that meets the
requirements of Sections 1507.4 and 1518.9 of the 7m Edition (2020) Florida Building Code. The panel has been
tested per TAS 100 and TAS 125 by Intertek with results shown in test reports G3443.40-450-44 and G344314-
450-44, and per TAS 110 by PRI Construction Materials Technologies, with results shown in test reports VLS-004-
02-01 and VLS-005.02-01.

I have reviewed this submittal per the requirements of FAC Product Approval Rule Chapter 61 G20-3.005
(4). Based on the limitations listed below and those provided in the documents above, this product meets all the
requirements of the 7i" Edition (2020) Florida Building Code generally, and chapter 15 specifically, including the
HVHZ provisions.
