1. ALL MASONRY BLOCK SHALL CONFORM TO THE REQUIREMENTS OF ASTM C90 FOR LOAD
BEARING CONCRETE MASONRY.
1.1. MIN. PRISM STRENGTH OF 1,900 PSI W/ 3/8" MORTAR JOINTS.
2. ALL MORTAR SHALL BE A MINIMUM TYPE M OR S MORTAR
3. UNLESS SPECIFICALLY SHOWN OTHERWISE PROVIDE "DUR-O-WALL" TRUSS TYPE

CMU WALL ERECTION TO ENSURE THAT CELLS TO BE GROUTED LINE UP PROPERLY,
PROVIDING A MINIMUM CLEAR AREA OF 10 SQUARE INCHES & MIN. CLEAR DIM. OF 3"
PROVIDE SAW -CUT CLEAN -OUT HOLE IN BOTTOM COURSE & REMOVE MORTAR DROPPINGS
FROM CELLS AT END OF EACH DAY. PROVIDE FOOTING DOWELS TO MATCH WALL
REINFORCING SIZE & SPACING. LAP SPLICE REINFORCING 48 BAR DIA. (OR AS SHOWN ON
PLANS) & TERMINATE REINFORCING WITH STANDARD ACI HOOKS TO PROVIDE
CONTINUOUS REINFORCING FROM FOOTING TO UPPERMOST TIEBEAMS. TIE VERTICAL
REINFORCING TO INSURE PLACEMENT IS IN CENTER OF WALL.
7.1. WHERE 2 VERTICAL BARS ARE SHOWN IN 1 CELL, INSTALL 1 BAR ON THE INTERIOR
FACE OF THE WALL & 1 BAR ON THE EXTERIOR FACE OF THE WALL, 2" FROM THE
