PAINT PRACTICES Customer hereby acknowledge recall ptoiacopy
No verbal agreements are recognizetl. All terms will be in writing and detailed on contract and
job specification provided by Florida Window and Door.
Contact Info ... We require at least two telephone numbers and an email address from every
customer. We also acknowledge and agree that Florida Window and Door may use an
automatic phone system and text message system to reach me at the numbers provided.
Project Coordinators._ You will be assigned your own Project Coordinator who will be
responsible to schedule the dates of your measure, installation and municipal inspections.
Your Project Coordinator will contact you prior toyour installation and let you know the time
your Crew is expected to arrive within a four hour time frame; for example 8-12, but it does
vary depending on job location, traffic and material pick-up.
Instalation time is approximately 9-18 weeks from date of measure. In the event in which a
Home Omens Association (HOA) approval is required the installation will approximately occur
within 9-18 weeks of'Seller being notified of the approval by the HOA in writing. Should
ktlntract include special order items, patio enclosures, construction, Historical Board Approval,
architectural renderings or site specific engineering the approximate installation date will be
within 9-18 weeks of approval by the municipality. Installation date will be approximately 9-18
weeks from approval of municipality. Customer acknowledges and accepts that additional
delays may occur due to unforeseen circumstances resulting in delays due to Coronavims.
Installation dates are weather permitting, we use local weather reports as our guide due to
Installation teams using power tools. We use are best judgment to ensure the safety of our
Crews and Staff. It your installation is canceled for any reason other than weather we willgladly issue you a credit of S100.00 for your inconvenience.
A responsible adult 18 years or older must be at the Installation site at the beginning and
the end of the job. The head Installer willdo a walk around with you prior to starting work
to assess any existing damage, landscaping, or any property that could be affected by the
construction. He is available to answer any questions you may have at that time. The head
installer is also required to do a post inspection when the job is completed. We want you to
make sure that we exceeded your expectations, so go over the job very carefully. Ifthere is
anything that needs 10 be addressed, he v: ill be able to take care of it or ensure that any
necessary parts are reported and ordered. Your balance due is payable by cash, check,
money order or credit card. If you are using our financing program a completion slip may
nerd to be signed. Your installer will need to collect at the end of the job based on payment
schedule of the job.
Installation Team... We only use authorized Florida Window & Door installers. All work is
guaranteed by Florida Window & Door, so you never have to worry.
Power... Customer agrees to provide Florida Window and Door installation Teams with use of
elecVicy for installation.
Chltlren and pets... Please provide a safe location away from the area during the installation
process. Installers use power toils and we donY want anyone hurt
Rotted Wood is beyond our control and often not able to be recognized at time of measure. In
the rare occurance that we do find instances in which wood rot is present, the customer will be
notified and there will be an additional charge to replace it.
will obtain all necessary window, door, and shutter permits, site specific engineering,
arUhectural renderings when applicable and information required by the municipality. The
Customer viiil be responsible to sign, notarize and return all permit documents and provide the
Homeowners Association contact information and when applicable assist us in the submission
of uve application to the Association. Customer acknowledges length of time to manufacture
the product arid submission of permit will be dependent on the timely return of all documents,
the Association approval, site specific engineering, architectural renderings and any other
items or approvals required in order to submit the permit to the municipality. As a result the
Homeowner acknowledges and agrees that the permit may be submitted to the municipality
by'Sener beyond the 30 days as required in R. StaL 489.126 and House Bill 7125. Any
delay associated with the Customer faLng to return or provide signatures or other necessary
information shall not be the responsibility of the'Seiler.'
Financing... if you are financing your balance. Florida Window and Door's Finance
Department will notify you of your loan approval. We win work hard with the finance
m comies to get your ban approved. However, sometimes terms may change based on
lending requirements. The Finance Company may also require you to provide additional
information and/or pull additional credit reports prior to the final approval or the loan. Your
cooperation will expedite the process. Financing may add additional time to the start of your
project due to additional information being needed or documents exerted. Chances in credo
history may void the terms and conditions of the contract.
While your installation is in process there will be dust and debris. Our Installation Teams win
de !heir best to minimize this from happening. But eocassionaily, it does happen and 'Seller
cannot be responsible for any damage to landscaping or for professional cleaning.
Dumpster/Storage... Under no circumstances do we leave job debris on your property. We
remove everything for safety reasons. Please do not ask our representatives ff you can keep
scrap. Dumpsters are not for customer usa. We must be given a suitable place to work and
sore material. In the rare occasion, that there is not storage or work area available we will
ubl'uE storage containers but that will be done at additional expense to you.
Wootl... We do not replace wood framing, rmkfirgs, casing or stops on your windows and doors
We use the existing. In certain situations v.* do make replacement moldings available for purchase
at additonal cost whichu can be added to your vwk order. However, intricate or historical molding
desgns may rectrre a finished carpenter to replace and willbe the responsibility of the Customer.
Construction Concerns... We do NOT do any painting or staining to existing structures or
fiberglass doors. Sometimes, plaster, drywall, or stucco may crack or be damaged during
installation. We win repair the an acted areas and prepare them for paint- Additional stucco ariddrywall repair that is considered beyond minimal or is outside the scope of the contract and
requires a professional tradesmen to complete is not included in this contract and will be the
resporvxbirdy of the Customer.
GritlslPrivacy Glass... it you ordered grids on your windows, the patterns will be same as
whet is existing unless otherwise specified on your specification sheet. Privacy glass will be
based on what is designated on the specification sheet.
Screens... Halt screens are standard with all Single Hung and Horizontal Roiling windows.
Wntlov TreatmenLUFumdure... We requirewu that you remove an xbx treatments prior to your
insfa➢aticn. We do not take don or rental any window treatments in the event window treatments
are not removed vv take no responsflundy for their mndtiau after removal. Most window treatments
call tit after installation of new wvindws and doors however• this is not guaranteed. We do not move
fumauT. Please move fumiture and valuables at least 4ft. from work area in order to safeguard your
p-oparry from damage and anor vi cucrews proper access to work area.
Hurticane ShuttersT loors... In circumstances in which we remove humcane shutters, we will
NOT reinstall them nor fill any holes as a resuh of the removal. We will rot remove shutters
above the second floor. We do not guarantee after a window or door installation that the shutters
call'➢ open and dose vildhout additional modufiration, service or maintenance being performed
by a shutter service company. Please note: that working conditions of a shutter system are
dependent on age, proper maintenance, and type of shutter. Customer acknowledges that floor
repair may be necessary arid that sill heights may be different then original.
Alarm contacts... Will not be reconnected. As you must be a licensed alarm company to work
on alarms. Seller will leave the wires exposed when possible and your alarm company will
need to corn out and reconnect them. Customer understands the details and time frames as outlined in my Installation Checklist and
received a copy. Please start my order in accordance with the time frame provided.
