Pierce, FL 34945 Dear Mr. Difranceso, Please accept this letter in response to your request received June 10, 2021, to waive the required finished floor elevation of 18" above the crown of the adjacent road. The waiver request is for a proposed single family residence located at 18601 Orange Ave, Ft. Pierce, FL 34945. Pursuant to Section 7.04.0l.C.3 of the St Lucie County Land Development Code, the Planning and Development Services Director has the authority to grant administrative relief, when topographical conditions are such that compliance with this subsection would be impracticable or cause grade level conditions detrimental to adjacent or nearby property, consistent with the intent of the Flood Protection regulations and any other applicable portion of this Code. The Planning and Development Services Director has granted your request for administrative relief of the finished floor elevation based on the following determinations: 1. The property is located within flood zone X. 2. The elevation of the center line of the adjacent road is 25.65' NAVD. 3. The proposed finished floor of the single-family residence is 25.00' NAVD. 4. Although the proposed residence is required to have -a finished floor elevation of 27.15' NAVD it is almost (4) feet higher than the lowest points of the property and almost (3) feet higher than the parking area. 5. The single-family residence will be located 2,100 feet from the adjacent roadway. This approval does not in any way constitute authorization to begin construction. Prior to the commencement of any construction on this property, an application for specific building permit must be obtained from this department.
