It is our understanding that T-Mobile USA (T-Mobile), who retained MetroRF Services, Inc. (MetroRF), desires to install new telecommunication equipment on the subject tower. This design was based on the supporting information listed in Table 3. Our services were performed in accordance with the terms and conditions of the master service agreement between APX and MetroRF. This report summarizes the results of our findings. A structural analysis prepared by APX determined that the subject tower, as presently constructed, is not capable of resisting the proposed loading configuration. MetroRF requested that APX prepare a design of modifications that would allow the tower to resist this loading. The purpose of this design is to determine the suitability of the aforementioned tower to support the loading indicated in Table 2. This design has been performed in accordance with the Florida Building Code based upon an ultimate 3- second gust wind speed of 160 mph with no ice using tnxTower structural software. Based on our design, subject to the assumptions noted, it is our opinion that the tower superstructure and foundation system will support the proposed loading provided that the modifications are implemented as depicted in the attached drawings. This report has been prepared for the purpose of providing a structural evaluation of the subject structure for the loading conditions indicated. It is intended for the exclusive use of MetroRF and T-Mobile. May 6, 1998 Tower Design Pirod, Inc. 3.1 Methods The tower superstructure analysis was performed with the use of tnxTower, a commercially available software program designed for the analysis of telecommunications towers. The program was used to create a three-dimensional mathematical model of the tower and to calculate member stresses under the appropriate dead, live, and wind loads. Loads were computed in accordance with applicable portions of the TIA-222-H standard. Selected output from the analysis is inc luded in Appendix A. T-Mobile: A2P0045B (Microwave Service Center)Structural Design Report APX Engineering Group, LLC 6 A separate analysis of the tower foundation system was performed by comparing the factored reactions from the tnxTower output to the foundation capacities indicated in the previous analysis by CALTROP Corporation dated February 22, 2013. 3.2 Assumptions and Limitations 1.Information in the supporting documentation that could not be verified by APX personnel is assumed to be correct. 2.All tower components are assumed to be in adequate condition to carry their full design capacity. 3.Limitations for antenna twist, tilt, roll, or lateral translation are not considered in this analysis, since the effects of these factors on structural tower performance are typically negligible. 4.The configuration of equipment/appurtenances is assumed to be as specified in this report. 5.This analysis does not consider the capacity of the antenna support systems. 6.Emergency/essential communication equipment is not located on the tower. 7.The tower modification designs by APX dated April 28, 2021 and by CALTROP Corporation have been fully implemented. If any of the above assumptions are not valid or have been made in error, these calculations may be affected, and APX should be allowed to review any new information to determine its effect on the structural integrity of the subject structure. 4.0 Results The following tables summarize analysis results for the tower superstructure and foundation system. The base of the tower is set at an elevation of 0.00 ft above the g round line. The face width of the tower is 4.00 ft at the top and tapered at the base. An index plate is provided at the 3 sided -tower connection. There is a 3 sided latticed pole with a face width of 2.00 ft. This tower is designed using the TIA-222-H standard. The following design criteria apply: Tower base elevation above sea level: 0.00 ft. Basic wind speed of 160 mph. Risk Category II. Exposure Category C. Simplified Topographic Factor Procedure for wind speed-up calculations is used. Topographic Category: 1. Crest Height: 0.00 ft. Deflections calculated using a wind speed of 60 mph.
