I. ONE (1) INSTALLATION ANCHOR IS REQUIREDAT EACH ANCHOR
LOCATIONSHOWN. USE ANCHOR STRAPS FOR SILL.
OPTION: ONE (2) ANCHOR STRAP CAN BE USED IN LIEU OF SCREWS.
2. THE NUMBER OF INSTALLATION ANCHORS DEPICTED IS THE MINIMUM
NUMBER OF ANCHORS TO BE USED FOR PRODUCT INSTALLATION.
3. INSTALL INDIVIDUAL INSTALLATION ANCHORS WITHIN A TOLERANCE OF
it/2 INCH OF THE DEPICTED LOCATION IN THE ANCHOR LAYOUT DETAIL
(I.E., WITHOUT CONSIDERATION OF TOLERANCES). TOLERANCES ARE NOT

10. FOR HOLLOW BLOCK AND GROUT FILLED BLOCK DO NOT INSTALL

MEASURED FROM FREE EDGE OF BLOCK OR EDGE OF MORTAR JOINT INTO

11. INSTALLATION ANCHORS SHALL BE INSTALLED IN ACCORDANCE WITH
ANCHOR MANUFACTURER'S INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS, AND ANCHORS
SHALL NOT BE USED IN SUBSTRATES WITH STRENGTHS LESSTHAN THE
MINIMUM STRENGTH SPECIFIED BY THE ANCHOR MANUFACTURER.
12. INSTALLATION ANCHOR CAPACITIES FOR PRODUCTS HEREIN ARE BASED
ON SUBSTRATE MATERIALS WITH THE FOLLOWING PROPERTIES:

B. CONCRETE -MINIMUM COMPRESSIVE STRENGTH OF 2700 PSI.

Through Frame or Anchor Strap Installation
A. For concrete or masonry substrates where one -by (1x), non-structural, wood bucking is
employed, use 3/16" diameter ITW Tapcon type (or equal) concrete screw anchors of
sufficient length to achieve a minimum embedment of 1.25" into concrete or masonry
substrates.
B. For concrete or masonry substrates where bucking is not employed, use 3/16" diameter 1TW
Tapcon type (or equal) concrete screw anchors of sufficient length to achieve a minimum
embedment of 1.25" into concrete or masonry substrates.
C., For two -by (2x) wood frame substrate, use #10 pan head wood screws of sufficient length to
achieve minimum embedment of 1.5" into wood framing.
Fin Installation
A. For two -by (2x) wood frame substrate, use #8 pan head wood screws of sufficient length to
achieve minimum embedment of 1.5" into wood framing, OR, 5d roofing nails of sufficient
length to achieve minimum embedment of 1.5" into wood framing.
Limits of use:
1. This product has been evaluated and is in compliance with the Florida Building Code, including
the "High Velocity Hurricane Zone" (HVHZ).
2. The product anchors shall be as listed and spaced as shown on the details. Anchor embedment
into the substrate material shall be beyond wall dressing or stucco.
3. When used in areas requiring wind borne debris protection this product complies with the
Florida Building Code and does not require an impact resistant covering.
4. Site conditions that deviate from details of drawing SAP.D.1004 require further engineering
analysis by a licensed engineer or registered architect.
5. 'See drawing SAP.D.1004 for size and design pressure limitations.
