IT IS NOW NECESSARY FOR ALL EXTERIOR DUCTS INSTALLED ON JACOBSEN HOMES HAVE A MINIMUM R—VALUE OF B. ALL HEATING AND/OR CDOUNG SUPPLY AND RETURN DUCTS EXPOSED DIRECTLY TO THE OUTSIDE AIR, SUCH AS UNDER CHASSIS CROSSOVER DUCTS OR DUCTS CONNECTING EXTERNAL HEATING, COOLING OR COMBINATION HENTING/COOLING APPLIANCES SHALL BE INSULATED WITH MATERIAL HAVING A MINIMUM THERMAL RESITANCE OF R=8.0, WITH A CONTINUOUS VAPOR BARRIER HAVING A PERM RATING OF NOT MORE THAN I PERM. WHERE EXPOSED UNDERNEATH THE MANUFACTURED HOME, THE DUCT SHALL NOT BE IN CONTACT WITH THE GROUND / DUCT SUPPLY OR RETURN OOLING ;SOVER USE MINIMAL AMOUNT OF DUCT. LIMIT DUCT USAGE TO REDUCE THE AMOUT OF BTU/HOUR LOSS. DO NOT OVER BEND OR CRIMP FLEX DUCT, THIS WILL RESTRICT THE AMOUNT OF AIR FLOW THROUGH THE DUCT. USE STRAPPING OR OTHER MEANS OF SUPPORT TO PREVENT THE DUCT FROM COMING IN CONTACT WITH THE GROUND. PLACE STRAPS AS NEEDED TO SUPPORT DUCT (DO NOT RESTICT AIR FLOW BY OVER TIGHTENING SUPPORT STRAPS).
