Please be advised that the foundations for the north high side columns (as indicated in our
documents for Project No. 17-122 on sheets S1-S8 dated November 2, 2017) were
designed to support a planned future addition of a 125-foot-wide mirror -image utilizing
the same type of structure and spans.
To the best of our knowledge, the column reactions provided by Kirby Building Systems
were found to be reasonably consistent with the design intent and accounted for the
planned future addition as stated in their reaction summary.
All foundations were designed with a maximum allowable soil bearing pressure of 2,500
psf, and will not be exceeded under the future design loads. However, the potential for
differential settlement should always be considered when applying additional loads to
any existing structure.
Respectfully, ,11 M THO,
