2. WHEN WORKING NEAR AN EXISTING AND/OR NEW STRUCTURE, THE CONTRACTOR SHALL
EXERCISE EXTREME CAUTION SO AS NOT TO DISTURB, DAMAGE OR IN ANY WAY CAUSE
UNDESIRABLE MOVEMENT, CRACKING, AND/OR SETTLEMENT OF THE ADJACENT STRUCTURE.

FABRICATED FROM THESE DRAWINGS. IF THE CONTRACTOR DISCOVERS ANY EXISTING
CONDITIONS THAT ARE NOT AS REPRESENTED ON THESE DRAWINGS, PAUL, J. FORD AND
COMPANY SHALL BE CONTACTED IMMEDIATELY TO EVALUATE THE STRUCTURAL
SIGNIFICANCE OF THE DEVIATION.
6. CONTRACTOR SHALL NOTIFY ENGINEER OF RECORD AND PROVIDE SKETCHES WITH PHOTOS
OF THE EXISTING RTU INDICATING ITS WEIGHT, DIMENSIONS, AND OPENINGS IF ANY OF THE
FOLLOWING ARE TRUE:
• THE WEIGHT OF EXISTING RTU #144 IS LESS THAN 840 LB.
• THE FOOTPRINT OF EXISTING RTU #144 IS LARGER THAN NEW RTU.
7. CONTRACTOR SHALL VERIFY THAT ALL REINFORCING SHOWN ON DETAILS 2 & 3/S1.1 HAVE
BEEN INSTALLED AND MEETS OR EXCEEDS SIZE AND REQUIREMENTS INDICATED ON DETAILS.
REPORT ANY DEFICIENCIES TO ENGINEER OF RECORD.
