ALL DRAINAGE (AT THE INSTALLATION SITE) MUST BE DIVERTED AWAY FROM THE HOME AND MUST SLOPE A MINIMUM OF 1/2" PER FOOT AWAY FROM THE FOUNDATION OR SKIRTING FOR THE FIRST 10'. THE SITE MUST BE GRADED TO PROVIDE FOR STORM RUN—OFF. SPECIAL CARE MUST BE TAKEN WITH THE AREA DIRECTLY BELOW YOUR HOME TO PREVENT WATER FROM PONDING AND/OR PUDDLING UNDER YOUR HOME AND SUPPORTS. IF THE SPACE UNDER THE HOME IS TO BE ENCLOSED WITH SKIRTING OR OTHER MATERIALS, A VAPOR RETARDER (I.E. POLY...) MUST BE INSTALLED TO COVER THE GROUND UNDER THE HOME (SHALL BE 6 MIL. Loads on supports of a given type (frame, perimeter, mating line) can be assumed to be equal if support spacing is equal. However, if different support spacings are utilized then each support with different spacing shall be calculated separately. 2. This table is designed for use with multi -section homes. However, if a single section home is being installed, the perimeter spacing should be used along both sidewall areas and the mating line spacing can be ignored. As an alternate to placing the perimeter pier directly under the perimeter joist on the floor system, the pier may be recessed up to a maximum of ten inches (10") from the outside edge of the floor system (sidewall side ONLY) when a minimum 4x4 P.T. that spans a minimum of two floorjoists is used on top of the recessed pier (see detail above). 2. Page SU-01-0008 in the Jacobsen Homes' HUD Set -Up Manual was based on the 2004 FBC-R Code that was in effect when this detail was submitted for approval and included in the Set -Up Manual. The 2004 FBC wind speed was based on wind speed=Vasd (mph). Since that time Florida has adopted the 2010 FBC which is based on wind speed= Vult (mph). The loads that are derived from Vult utilize a factor of 0.6 whereas those based on Vasd do not utilize a reduction factor.
