Dear Mr. Harvey,
Please see below responses to comments provided by Joe Fersch on May 25, 2021 for
the above referenced project, for review and approval:
1. Building code has been updated to 2020 Florida Building Code 7th Edition. See Sheet
S 1.0.
2. Stem wall foundation and wall details are shown on Sheet S3.1.
3. Guard rails around the deck are not required. The distance from the deck to the finished
grade is less than 30".
4. Venting of the attic will be provided through triangular louvered vents on each gable end.
The soffit on the gable ends will be solid.
5. Roof ventilation calculations are shown on Sheet S2.4. Attic will be vented with louvered
vents on each gable end. Attic access is provided in the utility room and shown on Sheet
A-2.
6. Roof flashing details between the gable end wall and the sloped.roof is'shown in detail
on Sheet S3.2.
7. Roof underlayment shall be installed per the manufacturer'.s specifications.
8. Enclosed, please find four signed and sealed sets of structural plans and architectural
plans. Attached, please find 2 copies of the truss engineering and layout plans approved
by Engineer of Record.
9. Attached, please find the product approval affidavit and copies of all product approvals.
10. Please see attached copy of the energy calculations.
11. Details for the decking are provided in Sections A, D and E on Sheet S3.1.
