Cannyn completed the WINDSTORM Training for both Appraisals and Umpire. Cannyn completed the Home Hazards Test and is a Baby Proofer of Homes from that Association for Child Safety. A copy of relevant licenses, certificates, and a transcript of CEU’s related to his ability to perform inspections of buildings is attached to this letter. The transcript contains continuing education for building science, foundations, structures, and roofing just to name a few. Cannyn is a co-host for the radio show Tampa Home Talk, which is part of the Money Talk family. This radio show airs every 8 to 10 am on Fridays via 1010 AM. Cannyn brings eighteen years of experience in planning, implementing, and overseeing capital projects for condominiums, municipalities and state agencies. Notable projects included managing the contract administration of a 456-condominium restoration program, a $130 million water plant, and a $14 million dollar prison expansion while performing visual inspections for civil, structural, mechanical, plumbing and electrical systems. There are several specific projects that Cannyn would like to highlight as they pertain relevance for his ability to inspect and design for foundations and then roofs. Cannyn was the on-site field project manager for the 10 Million Gallon per Day Hialeah Reverse Osmosis Water Treatment Plant. This project involved 12 acres of dredging, demucking, and removing of a previous landfill from wet land materials. Six of these acres were restored to wet lands and six of these acres were for the building and grounds. After demucking 9 feet below existing grade, the contractors then performed 12 feet of limestone base for the six acres. Each six-inch lift had to receive a full set of density proctors for every fifty feet. Cannyn supervised the density readings, witnessed backfill techniques, and monitored truck shipments for quality. Cannyn was the on-site field project manager for a three story, 330 beds, modular expansion of a correctional facility on an existing baseball field. This project involved extensive site preparation work for the changing of a green field to be able to handle the weight of the new facility. This project involved both limestone and sand fill, full reinforced footers, concrete masonry walls, and a slab-on-grade consisting of the approximate size of a foot-ball field. Additionally, Cannyn performs inspections daily on both residential and commercial houses during the pre-purchase phase of their life cycle. Cannyn is experienced and skilled at inspection foundation work and performs or reviews the inspections of on average forty to fifty assignments per week. Additionally, the City of Tampa, City of St. Petersburg, Hillsborough County, Pasco County, Pinellas County, Hernando County, City of Oviedo, Lee County, City of Naples, City of Bonita Springs, City of Cape Coral, Collier County, City of Cape Coral, City of Clearwater, City of Melbourne, Broward County, Brevard County, Palm Beach County, St. Lucie County, City of      2810 N. 10th St, Tampa, Fl 33605 (813) 616 - 3301 • berylprojectengineering.com Port St. Lucie, City of Wellington, Orange County, City of Orlando, Gadsen County, Leon County, City of Jacksonville, and City of Treasure Island allow Cannyn to perform building code inspections on expired and open permits under Florida Statutes 468.602 and Florida Statues 471. Cannyn was the lead designer and project manager for several Home Owner Associations in the greater Tampa Bay Area undertaking re-roofing, painting, balcony restoration, and stucco projects. During these assignments, his team would draft project manuals with plans, specifications, and bidding instructors to licensed contractors. Cannyn and his team would then monitor the construction progress of the contractor’s work for adherence to Florida Building Codes and the project manuals. Projects have included multiple story building steep roofs, non- standard design with multiple dormers and mansard fire walls, and reconfiguring low pitched roofs to medium pitched roofs. Cannyn is a Roof Data Technician for Owens Corning. This assignment involves performing investigation work associated with roof warranty claims to Owens Corning. During these investigations, Cannyn will remove two shingles to examine the underlayment and fastening patterns. He will then ship these shingles off for further forensic testing to an Owens Corning laboratory. Cannyn has taken advanced training courses with GAF on the selection, design, installation, and warranty inspection for their flat roof products to include TPO, Modified Bitumen, Rolled, and PVC roofing materials.
