THE SITE MUST BE GRADED TO PROVIDE FOR STORM RUN-OFF. SPECIAL CARE MUST BE TAKEN WITH THE AREA DIRECTLY BELOW YOUR HOME TO PREVENT WATER FROM PONDING AND/OR PUDDLING UNDER YOUR HOME AND SUPPORTS. IF THE SPACE UNDER THE HOME IS TO BE ENCLOSED WITH SKIRTING OR OTHER MATERIALS, A VAPOR RETARDER (I.E. POLY...) MUST BE INSTALLED TO COVER THE GROUND UNDER THE HOME (SHALL BE 6 MIL. AND ALL SEAMS TO OVERLAP 12" MIN.) REPAIR ANY TEARS OR VOIDS IN THE RETARDER BY PATCHING WITH LIKE MATERIAL, MAINTAINING A MINIMUM 12" OVERLAP AND SEALING JOINTS WITH DUCT TAPE OR MASTIC. As an alternate to placing the perimeter pier directly under the perimeter joist on the floor system, the pier may be recessed up to a maximum of ten inches (10") from the outside edge of the floor system (sidewall side ONLY) when a minimum 44 P.T. that spans a minimum of two floor joists is used on top of the recessed pier (see detail above). 2.
