Re: Aero Shade, Metal Building Project—1211-0193 Finished Floor Elevation Variance
Request, 3104 & 3106 Industrial Ave Three, Fort Pierce, Florida 34946
Dear Mr. Satterlee:
This letter is regarding the finished floor elevation of the proposed, ±3,960 SF metal building
located at 3104 Industrial Avenue Three. This is an infill project, with the proposed building being
located between two existing buildings. The site is not located within the 100 year flood plain,
according to FEMA Map 12111C0176J, Panel 176 of 420, dated 02/16/12.
The building is being constructed in accordance with the Site Construction Plans approved on or
about 02/01/14. The finished floor elevation,19.90, was established to be consistent with the
adjacent structures and to facilitate easy access into and out of the building based on the existing
site constraints. The proposed FFE is above the average road elevation,19.75, but it is not the 18"
required the St Lucie County Land Development Code. As reflected on the attached Elevation
Certificate, the form boards for the foundation were surveyed at 19.95 NAVD by Hayhurst Land
Surveying on 8/27/14.
By way of this letter, we request relief from Chapter 7.04.01 C-4.
I trust that the information provided in this letter will be sufficient for you to approve the request;
however, should you have any questions or comments, please feel free to contact me at your
convenience.
Very truly yours,.
