Attachment Requirements:
Based on the information provided by the client, N.O.A. requirements, Florida Building Code 2020 edition
and ASCE 7-16 Chapter 30 Wind Loads, the following skylights are approved for use for use in any roof
Zone 1 or Zone 2e location at the above referenced residential single family home. All installations shall
follow all of the provisions of the referenced product approval (NOA 20-0813.02) and requirements of the
Florida Building Code, 2020 edition. Complies with Florida Building Code 2020 Edition, Section 1620.1.
Based on N.O.A. #20-0813.02; the following are our recommended fastening patterns for the Birdview
Aluminum Framed Polycarbonate Domed Skylights:
#14 x 1" Pan Head Lag Screws spaced 3 7/8" from each corner with a maximum of 7'h" o/c
screw spacing with minimum roof deck penetration of 7/8".
Notes: All work shall be in compliance with the local building code product control notice of
acceptance and manufacturer specifications and the Florida Building Code 2020 edition.
Wind load calculations based on ASCE 7-16 and information provided by client.
All work shall be inspected by our field engineer or city inspector to verify compliance
with specifications.
