Status
1. New Elevation Certificate requested but do not have delivery commitment. Updated certificate
will be similar to the 2008 version with elevations converted to NAVD'=1.45'+NGVD'.
2. DEP CCCL permit SL-370 is pending. Approved site plan for the CCCL permit is SP-1 SITE PLAN as
submitted for this SLC permit.
3. Architectural drawings should not require registered design professional signature as all
features requiring design professional approval are on the approved structural drawings and
product evaluations in Status 4.
4. Product Review Affidavit with attached Product Evaluation certifications are attached to this
email as "2012-0722 Prod RevAff&Eva IRepts".
5. Energy calculations are shown in the submitted REScheck Compliance Certificate which indicates
that the Envelope is 33.6% better than code with UA of 1384. Minor corrections have been
requested from the supplier but these calculations should not be required for this permit since
all prescriptive code requirements are met in this design per 7/1 phone call.
6. R values for roof are R-10 continuous external xps plus roofing components with R-38 cavity
which exceeds the R-49 cavity insulation required for steel framing. Wall insulation is R-5
continuous external xps plus wall components which exceeds the R-4 required for mass walls.
Detail sections have been added to the Architectural Plans and revisions to the Manual
calculations have been requested.
7. Shop drawings requirement for Structural drawing 51.0 will be deferred to an appropriate place
in the inspection schedule per 7/1 phone call.
8. Shop drawings requirement for stairs will be deferred to an appropriate place in the inspection
schedule per 7/1 phone call. Stair section details are being added to the drawing set.
9. Wall legend for crosshatch is being added to Structural drawings S2.3 and S2.5.
10. Stem wall and footer detail of the existing structure is being added to Structural drawing 54.1.
11. Structural drawing door opening modes are being changed to match the Architectural drawing
modes.
12. Soil report and pile plan are part of previous builder's SLC permits 0505-0650 and 0612-0362
which were inspected and approved for the standard 40 ton capacity which is used for the
structural analysis of the existing structure and proposed structure. See attached drawing "2
PILE/CAP PLAN 133" and comment 17 status.
13. Welders certification from Gary Rhodes of Lazy R Bar Fabrications is attached or sent in a
following email attachment.
14. A separate permit for the pool will be applied for before the completion of the current permit.
15. The structural adequacy of the existing structure was confirmed on completion of the
Remediation permit 1504-0186 by the attached letter from William P Stoddard which resulted in
a statement by the Building Official that the structure was approved for continued construction
and the issue of permit 1706-0523 for alterations and additions to the existing structure.
16. Beam elevations will be measured as part of the Elevation Certificate update. Surveyor
measurements of grade beams and ground floor are available on previously submitted surveys.
17. See comment status 12 for pile plan. See attached "Foundation wave anal &attach engrg
Sep07"for erosion study and piling documents presented for DEP and SLC approval of the
existing structure and "FDEP 5050 site specific 15.7...." which is referenced.
18. Flood Resistant Construction requirements are met for the FBC that was in effect when the
permits were approved and the existing structure was built and inspected (see attachment to
17). The new construction in the current permit application is above the elevation affected by
the requirements or meets the 2017 R322 requirements for installation of mechanical,
electrical, and plumbing below the flood elevation.
