Dear Building Official,
About the above project, we have reviewed the pile driving logs provided by B3 Material Testing Engineering dated August 9, 2021.
Due to better-than-expected soil conditions, driving the piles to the depth specified on CSM Engineering drawings was not necessary.
CSM approves the B3 Material Testing Engineering report and accepts the reduced pile depth as specified in this report (26’ in lieu of
30’ as specified by CSM drawings). All piles have been installed per construction industry standards, CSM drawings with latest
revision of 5-11-2021, ACI latest edition, ACI Formwork for Concrete, ASD, and FBC 2020, 7th edition.
