Clopay Installation drawings provide fastener schedules for attaching the 2x6 woad jambs to the supporting structural elements of the building, For mounting on thinner 1x6 jambs, the track may be placed on top of the ix6 jamb and attached to the underlying structural elements (through the jamb) using the same lag screw schedule as described on the approved Installation drawing for the attachment of the jambs to the supporting structure of the building, The S/16" lag screws must be at least 3-1/2" long, The lag screws must be embedded In wood free of knots and splits and must be at least 0,47" from any edge of the suppgrking structure. Bracket Mount Track may be used with this configuration If and only if the maximum bracket spacing does not exceed the maximum on -confer spacing for the lag screws schedule for the attachment oP the jambs to the supporting structure. If the bracket spacng exceeds that limit, Continuous Angle Mount Track may be used. The 2x4 yellow pine jambs exhibit no sptitting or cracking after Instailatlon of the lag screws, 2, The lag screws are at least 1" from the edge of the 2x4 (note that this distance Is measured from the edge of the wood to the cehter of the fastener), 3, The jambs attachment to the underlying bulidlhg structure Is adequate for khe required loads.
