TERMITE SPECIFICATIONS: STRUCTURAL NOTES: STRUCTURAL DESIGN CRITERIA INDEX OF DRAWINGS R318.1 TERMITE PROTECTION SHALL BE PROVIDED BY REGISTERED TERMITICIDES, INCLUDING SOIL APPLIED PESTICIDES, BAITING SYSTEMS, AND PESTICIDES APPLIED TO WOOD, OR OTHER APPROVED METHODS OF TERMITE PROTECTION LABELED FOR USE AS A PREVENTATIVE TREATMENT TO NEW CONSTRUCTION (SEE SECTION 202, REGISTERED TERMITICIDE). TREATMENT IS IN ACCORDANCE WITH RULES AND LAWS ESTABLISHED BY THE FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE AND CONSUMER SERVICES." NOTES: 1. THE NO. 15 ASPHALT FELT OR OTHER APPROVED WATER -RESISTIVE BARRIER MATERIAL SHALL BE CONTINUOUS TO THE TOP OF WALLS AND TERMINATED AT PENETRATIONS AND BUILDING APPENDAGES IN A MANNER TO MEET THE REQUIREMENTS OF THE EXTERIOR WALL ENVELOPE AS DESCRIBED IN SECTION R703.1. R703.4 FLASHING. APPROVED METAL FLASHING, VINYL FLASHING, SELF -ADHERED MEMBRANES AND MECHANICALLY ATTACHED FLEXIBLE FLASHING SHALL BE APPLIED SHINGLE -FASHION OR IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE MANUFACTURER'S INSTRUCTIONS.
