This repeats for the other side. 6 nails were used per sleeve. Nails used were smooth shank coiled electrogalvanized roofing nails, 1 ¼’’. • 2.5’’ white drip edge was used on all eaves and rakes. Overlaps were a minimum of 4’’. Drip edge was applied over the underlayment. Roofing cement was applied a minimum of 4’’ over the drip edge flange. • 3 new lead pipe boots were installed. Roofing cement was placed on top of the underlayment where the vent was to be placed. Vent was placed and then secured with smooth roofing nails 1 ¼’’. Top of the flange is under shingles, while the bottom rests on top. • 1 new meter mast boot was installed. • Ridge ventilation was installed. Opening did not exceed 3 ¼’’. It was installed over the main ridges of the house which exceeded this minimal requirement. Installation of ridge vent was done using the provided 3’’ ring shanked nails into the provided targets.
