DISTRICT I RE: Finished Floor Waiver

Dear Mr. Golden,
Sean Mitchell Please accept this letter in response to your request received October 12, 2021, to waive the
required finished floor elevation of 18" above the crown of the adjacent road. The waiver
DISTRICT 2 request is for an enclosure of an existing porch on an existing single-family home located at
Vice -Chair 2660 Iroquois Ave, Ft Pierce.
Pursuant to Section 7.04.0l.C.3 of the St Lucie County Land Development Code, the
Linda Bartz Planning and Development Services Director has the authority to grant administrative relief,
DISTRICT 3 when topographical conditions are such that compliance with this subsection would be
impracticable or cause grade level conditions detrimental to adjacent or nearby property,
consistent with the intent of the Flood Protection regulations and any other applicable portion
of this Code.

DISTRICT 4 The Planning and Development Services Director has granted your request for administrative
relief of the finished floor elevation based on the following determinations:
1. The property is located within flood zone X.
Cathy Townsend 2. The floor elevation of existing house is at 18.37' NAVD.
DISTRICT 5 3. The proposed floor elevation of the existing porch will be at 18.07' NAVD.
4. The elevation of the center line of the adjacent road is 16.84' NAVD.
5. The fmished floor elevation of the proposed enclosed porch will be 1.23' above the

centerline of the adjacent roadway.
This approval does not in any way constitute authorization to begin construction. Prior to the
commencement of any construction on this property, an application for specific building
Howard Tipton permit must be obtained from this department.
