Our findings are as follows. Wind Design Criteria: V=170 mph (3 second gust), Exposure C, Risk Category 2. From the Florida Building Code, RAS 128: Psdl':-37 psf, Pmdl:-64 psf, P„d2:-84 psf, P„d3:-115 psf Using NOA 19-0311.04 Polyglass USA the maximum pressure using E(4) is -52.5 psf. The base sheet is installed 8" on center along the 4" wide lap and then 3 additional staggered rows 8" on centered. The tributary area per fastener is 8xl 1=88 square inches. (4 additional rows staggered, 8" on center for 133 % spacing) The Geld nailing (Zone 1') is acceptable since 37 < 52.5. Next check Zone 1: 52.5/64 * 8" o/c = 6.6" spacing. Use a spacing of 6" on center for Zone I Next check Zone 2: 52.5/84 * 8" o/c = 5.0" spacing. Use a spacing of 5" on center for Zone 2. Next check Zone 3: 52.5/115 * 8" o/c = 3.65"* 1.33 = 4.86" spacing (4 rows). Use a spacing of 4" on center for Zone 3. There is (1) flat roof area, (Al) 22' x 16' . Using approximated Eave Height (h) a[ 10', Zone 3 becomes a 2'-0" x 6'-0" area at the corners. Zone 2 shall be the remaining 6'-0" wide roof perimeter area. Zone 1 will be the 6'-0" wide perimeter layer inside Zone 2. Any remaining area of the low slope roof shall be Zone I Prime (Zone 1'). The (Al) will have 2'-0" x 6'-0" Zone 3 areas at the comers. Zone 2 will be the remaining 6'-0" wide roof perimeter.
