Dear St. Lucie County Building Official:
Please be advised that Benchmark Engineering has reviewed and approved an alternate door attachment
method directly to structural steel as follows:
Install 3/16” SS thru bolts w/ lock nuts, (3) each side equally spaced, (3) bottom, middle & equally spaced, (2)
top each side of door union. Apply foam or other sealant between encasement & structural steel.
