OBSERVATIONS:
Units 808/708
• The SGD was removed at units 808 and 708 (below) as needed to perform the full-depth slab repairs to the slab
between the units.
• There are (6) reinforcing bars running in the north-south direction which have significant section loss due to
corrosion, requiring splicing with new bars.
• New anchors are required for the (6) new PT band cables at the outer face of the balcony slab edge because the
wedges in the existing anchors cannot be removed. These cable splices will be located in the slab under the
window.
• The broken uniform cable at the west end of the balcony requires splicing.
RECOMMENDATIONS:
• Clean and coat all existing reinforcing bars as per specs.
• Epoxy dowel new reinforcing bars at each face and lap adjacent to the (6) corroded existing bars.
• Relocate the new uniform cable in the north-south direction to the top of the slab for the cantilevered slab.
• Provide edge bars, bursting bars and hair pin anchors per sketch SK1 (attached).
• The PT specialist is scheduled to begin replacing the cables on Wednesday, December 15, 2021.
