The documentation submitted has been reviewed and accepted by Miami -Dade County RER - Product Control Section to be used in Miami Dade County and other areas where allowed by the Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ). RENEWAL of this NOA shall be considered after a renewal application has been filed and there has been no change in the applicable building code negatively affecting the performance of this product. TERMINATION of this NOA will occur after the expiration date or if there has been a revision or change in the materials, use, and/or manufacture of the product or process. Cutout: Cut a 2" slot along the ridge of the roof by cutting 1" on each side of the ridge. Leave uncut sheathing area of 6" at each end of the ridge. Cut through sheathing only, avoiding roof trusses. In buildings with a ridge board, cut 1-3/4" slot on each side. Installation: Roll out ridge vent centered over the slot, and secured 6" o.c. on each side of the ridge with included 2-1/2" corrosion resistant galvanized roofing nails or 1-3/4" collated corrosion resistant galvanized roofing nails (for nail guns) to hold it in place until ridge shingles can be installed. (Polyurethane sealant shall be used to seal the perimeter of the vent to the roof shingles.) Extend to the rake edge. Roll ends or cut joints shall be butted together and caulked with an approved polyurethane sealant. Ridge Shingle: Install pre -manufactured or field -cut ridge shingles over the ridge vent in compliance with the shingle manufacturer's Notice of Acceptance (NOA) and the installation instructions. Ring shank nails shall be corrosion resistant and long enough to penetrate through the wood deck a minimum of 3/16". Apply a bead of polyurethane sealant in between adjacent cap shingles to seal the caps. Net Free Area: Refer to manufacturers published literature. LIMITATIONS: 1.
