Subject: Backfill Compaction — 3-Level Custom Home

Allterra Engineering & Testing performed probe -rod and field -density tests on the compacted
backfill of the subject project. Copies of the field -density test results are attached to this report.
Allterra's services were performed to meet certain requirements of chapter 18 of the 2020
Florida Building Code and local amendments.
Allterra mobilized to the project site on 29 November and 20 December 2021 to test the backfill
as its was placed and compacted in lifts to achieve construction -ready grade for the ground -
level slab. Based upon the results of the probe -rod and field -density test results, backfill
preparation achieved conventional standards -of -acceptance for well compacted soil (at least 95
percent of maximum -dry -density) as presented in Allterra's geotechnical services report dated 1
March 2021.
It shall be the responsibility of the contractor to maintain the condition of the prepared surfaces
to prevent erosion or other degradation. Bearing surfaces shall be kept firm, level and free of
debris, detritus or standing water through placement of concrete.
