THE DESIGN & CONSTRUCTION OF THIS STRUCTURE SHALL FULLY COMPLY WITH THE SEVENTH EDITION OF THE (2020) FLORIDA BUILDING CODE, ACI318-19, NCMA, NATIONAL FOREST PRODUCT ASSOC., NDS, ANSI/TPI 1-2014 AND ANY OTHER NATIONALLY RECOGNIZED ORGANIZATIONS THAT GOVERN THIS BODY OF WORK. 2. THESE PLANS WERE DESIGNED FOR THE CONTRACTOR/OWNER TO BE PERMITTED AT THE LOCAL AGENCY (BUILDING DEPARTMENT AND SHOULD BE FOLLOWED AS INSTRUCTED. CONTRACTOR SHALL VERIFY ALL DIMENSIONS, ROOF PITCH, ELEVATIONS, SIZES AND LOCATION OF WALL OPENINGS, COLUMNS AND SLAB FINISHES WITH THE CONSTRUCTION PLANS BEFORE COMMENCING CONSTRUCTION. IF THE CONTRACTOR OBSERVES THAT THE DRAWINGS AND SPECIFICATIONS ARE AT VARIANCE OR HAVE DISCREPANCIES, HE SHALL PROMPTLY NOTIFY THE ENGINEER IN WRITING, AND ANY NECESSARY CHANGES THAT SHALL BE ADJUSTED AS PROVIDED FOR CHANGES IN THE WORK. 3. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL GIVE ALL NOTICES AND COMPLY WITH ALL LAWS, ORDINANCES, RULES AND REGULATIONS BEARING ON THE CONDUCT OF THE WORK AS DRAWN AND SPECIFIED AND SHALL BE PERMITTED AT THE LOCAL OFFICE, COUNTY OR CITY. THE RESULT OF NOT OBTAINING A BUILDING PERMIT FOR THE DESIGN OF THESE PLANS SHALL RELEASt ALL RESPONSIBILITY FOR THIS PROJECT FROM THE ENGINEER OF RECORD. CONTACTOR IS RESPONSIBLE FOR A FINAL CERTIFICATE OF OCCUPANCY FOR THIS PROJECT. IF THE CONTRACTOR PERFORMS ANY WORK KNOWING IT TO BE CONTRARY TO SUCH LAWS, ORDINANCES, RULES AND RUGULATIONS, AND WITHOUT SUCH NOTICE TO THE ENGINEER, HE SHALL BEAR ALL COSTS ARISING THEREFROM. 4. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL SUPPLY THE ENGINEER THREE COPIES OF SHOP DRAWINGS, A MINIMUM OF ONE WEEK PRIOR TO PLACEMENT. THE REVIEW OF SHOP DRAWINGS BY THE ENGINEER IS ONLY FOR GENERAL COMPLIANCE WITH THE STRUCTURAL DRAWINGS AND SPECIFICATIONS. THE REVIEW DOES NOT GUARANTEE IN ANY WAY THAT THE SHOP DRAWINGS ARE CORRECT, NOR DOES IT INFER THAT THEY SUPERSEDE THE STRUCTUAL DRAWINGS. THESE SUBMITTALLS SHALL INCLUDE AMONG OTHER REQUESTED DESIGNS THE FOLLOWING; CONCRETE TEST REPORTS AS PER ACI 318, REINFORCING STEEL SHOP DRAWINGS, PREFABRICATED TRUSS DRAWINGS (INCLUDING ERECTION DRAWINGS AND DESIGN DATA), PILE DETAILING (IF DESIGNED BY OTHERS) STAIR RAILINGS SHALL BE DESIGNED MY THE MANUFACTURER'S FLORIDA REGISTERED RAIL SHOP DRAWINGS AND DESIGN DATA (BALCONY AND TERRACE RAILINGS ANDS ENGINEER). 5. TRUSS MANUFACTURER SHALL SUBMIT SHOP DRAWINGS FOR BUILDERS APPROVAL. THESE DRAWINGS :.,HALL BE SEALED BY A FLORIDA REGISTERED ENGINEER AND REVIEWED BY THE ENGINEER OF RECORD. THE ENGINEER OF RECORD RESERVES THE RIGHT TO MAKE ANY NECESSARY CHANGES TO THE LAYOUT AND OR DESIGN OF SAID DRAWINGS, AND SHALL NOTIFY THE TRUSS MANUFACTURER/ TRUSS ENGINEER OF SAID CHANGES WITHIN I WEEK OF RECEIVING THE SUBMITTED SHOP DRAWINGS. 6. PROTECTION SHALL BE DESIGNED FOR THE SAME WIND DESIGN PRESSURES AS THE WINDOWS OR DOORS THEY ARE COVERING. 3. ALL WINDOWS & DOORS SHALL BE INSTALLED ON 1X OR 2X PRESSURE TREATED BUCKS, AS BE THE BUCK DETAIL AND AS PER MANUFACTURERS SPECIFICATIONS UNLESS OTHERWISE NOTED. ROOFING NOTES 1. ROOFING MATERIAL SHALL BE ATTACHED PER MANUFACTURERS SPECIFICATIONS TO MEET THE DESIGN CRITERIA PRESCRIBED IN THESE PLANS. TRUSS NOTES 1. PRE-ENGINEERED WOOD TRUSSES SHALL BE DESIGNED BY A FLORIDA REGISTERED ENGINEER FOR ALL LOADS PRESCRIBED. ROOF TRUSS ENGINEERING SHOP DRAWINGS SHALL INCLUDE TRUSS LAYOUT, DESIGN LOADS, TRUSS REACTION, (DEAD LOAD & LIVE LOAD AND DEAD LOAD & WIND LOAD), AND ALL OTHER INFORMATION REQUIRED FOR PROPER TRUSS INSTALLATION, ERECTION AND BRACING CRITERIA. DESIGN OF ROOF TRUSSES SHALL INCLUDE THE UPLIFT EFFECTS OF WIND LOAD BASED ON THE 7th EDITION (2020) OF THE FLORIDA RESIDENTIAL BUILDING CODE. 1. ROOF TRUSSES SHALL NOT BE DELIVERED TO THE CONSTRUCTION SITE MORE THAN 3 DAYS PRIOR TO INSTALLATION, AND SHALL BE STORED IN ACCORDANCE WITH ANSI/TPI 1-2014. 2. TRUSS ENGINEER SHALL PROVIDE A WEB MEMBER AT ANY AND ALL PITCH CHANGES OF THE TOP AND BOTTOM CHORD, EXTENDING TO PANEL POINT ON OPPOSITE CHORD. MAX. LENGTH OF BOTTOM CHORD SHALL NOT EXCEED 9 FT. EXCEPT @ SHORT TRUSS HEELS WHERE REQUIRED HURRICANE STRAP WILL BEND OVER TOP CHORD. PROVIDE VERTICAL WEB OVER ALL TRUSS BEARING LOCATIONS. 3. ALL TRUSS MEMBERS SHALL BE A MINIMUM OF 2 X 4 #2 SYP. 4. ALL VALLEY SETS SHALL BE FRAMED WITH VALLEY SET TRUSSES AND ATTACHED TO TRUSSES BELOW PER SPECIFIED STRAPPING @ 6' O.C. MAX. ROOF PLYWOOD SHALL EXTEND ON TRUSSES BENEATH ALL OVER FRAMING. OMIT PLYWOOD AND VALLEY SET BOTTOM CHORD BETWEEN TWO TRUSSES FOR ACCESS. 5. IN ADDITION TO THE DESIGN LOADS LISTED, THE TRUSSES SHALL BE DESIGNED FOR ADDITIONAL LOADS WHERE APPLICABLE (I.E. A/C EQUIPMENT, ETC.). 6. DESIGN BOTTOM CHORDS FOR ATTIC TRUSSES FOR LIVE LOAD PER FBC R301.5. TRUSSES SUPPORTING MECHANICAL EQUIP. SHALL BE DESIGNED FOR (2) 100 LB POINT LOADS 3' APART LOCATED ANYWHERE ON THE TOP CHORD. 7. TRUSSES MUST BE CONFIGURED TO PROPERLY ATTACH ALL HANGERS SHOWN ON PLANS OR IN SHOP DRAWINGS. TRUSS ENGINEER MUST SPECIFY ALL TRUSS TO TRUSS CONNECTIONS. 8. ALL ROOF TRUSSES AND RAFTERS SHALL BE ANCHORED WITH A TRUSS CONNECTOR STRAP AS PER PLAN OR SCHEDULE & A VAPOR BARRIER MUST BE PROVIDED BETWEEN TRUSSES AND CONCRETE. 9.
