As an alternate to placing the perimeter pier directly under the perimeter joist on the floor system, the pier may be recessed up to a maximum of ten inches (10") from the outside edge of the Floor system (sidewall side ONLY) when a minimum 40 P.T. that spans a minimum of two floor joists is used on top of the recessed pier (see detail above). 2. Any design of overbuild by another professional engineer can be on the structure as long as the gravity and uplift loads are distributed equally across the structure the same loading as if there were no overbuild at all, the connections to our structure fasten into the top chord of the trusses and distribute the load equally across the structure the same loading as if there were no overbuild at all, the lateral forces from the overbuild are distributed equally and fastened to direct the load into the roof diaphragm, the total weight of the roof and the overbuild is equal to or less than 10 psf, and the height of the overbuild is not greater than the height of the roof.
