SCOPE:
This NOA is being issued under the applicable rules and regulations governing the use of construction materials. The
documentation submitted has been reviewed and accepted by Miami -Dade County RER - Product Control Section to be
used in Miami Dade County and other areas where allowed by the Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ).
This NOA shall not be valid after the expiration date stated below. The Miami -Dade County Product Control Section
(In Miami Dade County) and/or the AHJ (in areas other than Miami Dade County) reserve the right to have this
product or material tested for quality assurance purposes. If this product or material fails to perform in the accepted
manner, the manufacturer will incur the expense of such testing and the AHJ may immediately revoke, modify, or
suspend the use of such product or material within their jurisdiction. RER reserves the right to revoke this acceptance,
if it is determined by Miami -Dade County Product Control Section that this product or material fails to meet the
requirements of the applicable building code.
This product is approved as described herein, and has been designed to comply with the Florida Building Code
including the High Velocity Hurricane Zone of the Florida Building Code.
DESCRIPTION: MSA Underlayments
LABELING: Each unit shall bear a permanent label with the manufacturer's name or logo, city, state and following
statement: "Miami -Dade County Product Control Approved", unless otherwise noted herein.
RENEWAL of this NOA shall be considered after a renewal application has been filed and there has been no change
in the applicable building code negatively affecting the performance of this product.
TERMINATION of this NOA will occur after the expiration date or if there has been a revision or change in the
materials, use, and/or manufacture of the product or process. Misuse of this NOA as an endorsement of any product,
for sales, advertising or any other purposes shall automatically terminate this NOA. Failure to comply with any section
of this NOA shall be cause for termination and removal of NOA.
ADVERTISEMENT: The NOA number preceded by the words Miami -Dade County, Florida, and followed by the
expiration date may be displayed in advertising literature. If any portion of the NOA is displayed, then it shall be done
in its entirety.
INSPECTION: A copy of this entire NOA shall be provided to the user by the manufacturer or its distributors and
shall be available for inspection at the job site at the request of the Building Official.
This NOA renews NOA# 144202.07 and consists of pages 1 through 5.

LIMITATIONS:
1. Fire classification is not part of this acceptance.
2. This acceptance is for prepared roofing applications. Minimum deck requirements shall be in compliance with
applicable building code. Quik-Stick Ice & Water Sand, Quik-Stick Ice & Water, Quik-Stick HT Smooth or Quik-
StickHT Pro underlayments shall be installed in strict compliance with applicable Building Code.
3. Quik-Stick Ice &Water Sand, Quik-Stick Ice &Water, or Quik-Stick HT Pro underlayments may be used in
asphaltic shingles, metal panels, wood shakes and shingles and quarry slate roof assemblies. Quik-Stick Ice &
Water Sand, Quik-Stick Ice & Water, or Quik-Stick HT Pro underlayment shall not be used as roof tile
underlayment.
4. Quik-Stick HT Smooth underlayment may be used in asphaltic shingles, metal panels, wood shakes and shingles,
quarry slate, and tile roof assemblies (mortar, adhesive, and mechanically set).
5. Quik-Stick Ice & Water Sand, Quik-Stick Ice & Water, Quik-Stick HT Smooth or Quik-Stick HT Pro underlayment
shall not be applied over an existing roof membrane as a recover, but may be applied over a roofing Base/Anchor
sheet underlayment.
6. Quik-Stick Ice & Water Sand, Quik-Stick Ice & Water, and Quik-Stick HT Pro underlayment shall not be left
exposed as a temporary roof for longer than 14 days of application.
7. Quik-Stick HT Smooth underlayment shall not be left exposed as a temporary roof for longer than 90 days of
application.
8. Refer to Prepared Roofing system Product Control Notice of Acceptance for listed approval of this product with
specific prepared roofing products.
9. Quik-Stick Ice & Water Sand, Quik-Stick Ice & Water, Quik-Stick HT Smooth or Quik-Stick HT Pro
underlayments may be used with any approved roof covering Notice of Acceptance listing Quik-Stick Ice & Water
Sand, Quik-Stick Ice & Water, Quik-Stick HT Smooth or Quik-Stick HT Pro underlayments as a component part of
an assembly in the Notice of Acceptance. If Quik-Stick Ice & Water Sand, Quik-Stick Ice & Water, Quik-Stick HT
Smooth or Quik-Stick HT Pro underlayments are not listed, a request may be made to the Authority Having
Jurisdiction (AHJ) or the Miami -Dade County Product Control Department for approval provided that appropriate
documentation is provided to detail compatibility of the products, wind uplift resistance, and fire testing results.
10. Quik-Stick Ice &Water Sand, Quik-Stick Ice &Water, Quik-Stick HT Smooth or Quik-Stick HT Pro
underlayments shall be applied to a smooth, clean and dry surface with deck free of irregularities. All nails in the
deck shall be carefully checked for protruding heads. Refasten any loose decking panels. Sweep the deck
thoroughly to remove any dust and debris prior to application.
11. When applying the membrane in the valley, start at the low point and work to the high point, rolling the membrane
from the center outward in both directions. For ridge applications, center the membrane and roll from the center
outward in both directions.
12. Roll or broom the entire membrane surface so as to have 100% contact with the surface, giving special attention to
overlap areas.
13. Flash vent pipes, stacks, chimneys and penetrations in compliance with Roof Assembly current Product Control
Notice of Acceptance and applicable Building Code.
14. All protrusions or drains shall be initially taped with a 6" piece of underlayment. The flashing tape shall be
pressed in place and formed around the protrusion to ensure a tight fit. A second layer of Quik-Stick Ice &Water
Sand, Quik-Stick Ice & Water, Quik-Stick HT Smooth or Quik-Stick HT Pro underlayments shall be applied over
the underlayment.

15. All products listed herein shall have a quality assurance audit in accordance with the Florida Building Code and
Rule 61 G20-3 of the Florida Administrative Code,
16. All membranes or packaging shall bear the imprint or identifiable marking of the manufacturer's name or logo and
the following statement: "Miami -Dade County Product Control Approved" or the Miami -Dade County Product
Control Seal as shown below.
