Designed as an air, water and vapor barrier, it must be installed above adequately ventilated spaces. Please follow all local building codes applicable to yourjob site. A copy of the installation guide should be available at the job site if required by code official. CAUTION: ALWAYS OBSERVE SAFE ROOFING PRACTICES. USE AND WEAR FALL PROTECTION DEVICES - FAILURE TO DO SO CAN RESULT IN SERIOUS INJURY! The manufacturer's published installation instructions are to be strictly adhered to. The instructions can be obtained on our website www.epilay.com. SAME DAY COVERAGE 1 Ensure the deck surface is free of nails, protrusions and other debris that may damage product; it should have a smooth even surface with no voids and deck should be moisture free. 2 APPLICATION: For slopes 2:12 and higher Epilay'" Plasfelt'" is to be laid out horizontally (parallel) to the eave with the printed side up. Horizontal laps should be 4" and vertical laps should be 6"and anchored approximately 1" in from the edge. For low slope applications it is recommended to overlap 50% plus 1". For definition of low slopes please contact local jurisdiction for clarifications. Epilay'" Plasfelt'" is not recommended for slopes less than 2:12. The use of a roofing hammer, hatchet hammer, pneumatic air or gas driven fastener tools is acceptable. The use of a straight edge cutting knife is recommended. 3 FASTENERS: For same day coverage with primary roofing Epilay'"" Plasfe It— can be anchored with corrosive resistant 3/8" head x 1" leg roofing nails (ring shank preferred, smooth leg acceptable). The use of every other anchoring location printed on the product is also acceptable. DO NOT USE STAPLES: the use of staples to for installation of Epilay— PlasfeItTM will void warranty. 4 For high wind geographical areas please use 1" plastic or metal cap smooth or ring shank roofing nails and anchored in all locations printed on the facer. 5 Cover roof with primary roof cladding. The use of a straight edge cutting knife is recommended. 3 FASTENERS: If Epilay'" Plasfelt'" will be left exposed for up to 60 days or more the product must be anchored with 1" plastic or metal cap smooth or ring shank roofing nails and anchored in all locations printed on the facer. 4 For extended exposure, In conditions such as driving rain or strong winds are expected it is recommended to take additional precautions such as doubling the lap widths. In addition a compatible sealant should be used between the overlaps.
