WORK INSPECTED:
Limited access balconies – Units 506 and 705
OBSERVATIONS:
Unit 506
• (2) edge spalls at the south elevation have been chipped of all loose concrete and corrosion has been chased
until clean bar was found.
• Existing reinforcing bars are in serviceable condition and only required power tool cleaning & coating.
Unit 705
• Chipping of the concrete column spall between the living room and the master bedroom sliding glass door is in
progress.
• Removal of hurricane shutters and/or doors is not required for repair.
RECOMMENDATIONS:
Unit 705
• Continue to chase the corrosion in the reinforcing bars until 6” of clean bar is found.
• Power tool clean and coat all exposed reinforcing bars with the approved corrosion inhibitor.
