3211 Sunrise Blvd project was issued a permit no 1912-0490.The majority of the works were completed
and inspected.The construction work was severely impacted by the ongoing pandemic. Many of our
construction workers were infected by Covid 19 and we had to stop working temporarily for few times.
Even with our best effort,we could not complete 100%of this project within time allotted.
We are now at our final stage of this project and almost ready for the final inspection. We would request
the County to extend our permit for another 6 months so that we can call for the final inspection and
take care of any outstanding issues.

Structural Integrity:
Existing abandoned garage is one story,8'-9" high, 20 ft X 20 ft square shaped structure with ABS shingle
wall, and hip Fiberglass Shingle roof cover.As-built drawings are not available. Multiple field inspections
were made to determine the structural integrity of the exterior envelop of this existing garage. Some
minor vertical and horizontal cracks were found on the exterior walls.The horizontal cracks might be
due to differential settlement of the bed soil and vertical cracks might be due to setting concrete or
heavy rains. Majority of the cracks are vertical cracks.
The vertical dead loads for this structure is the combination of the wall load and the roof load which is
transferred to the ground via wall sections. Roof sits on all four wall segments and spread loads along
the entire lengths of those walls. Roof load and wall load are transferred to the ground not as point load
but spread load.Therefore,the possibility of stress concentration is very less. Roof connections to walls
look functional and vertical load from the roof is transferred to the wall smoothly.
Existing cracks were filled with mortar.This abandoned garage is proposed to be used for storage only.
This is not an extension to the living area or it can't be used as bed room.
