Your Request for Architectural Change for 3342 IRONWOOD AVENUE has been approved. Specifically, you
have approval to proceed with the following:
Replace carport Roof & Wood Frame Shed. Roof will be White 3" Insulated. Please provide your
contractor's license, insurance declarations, and any permits required.
We reserve the right to make a final inspection of the change to make sure it matches the request you
submitted for approval. Please follow the plan you submitted or submit an additional request form if you cannot
follow the original plan.
Please be reminded that by the terms of your application, you agreed that should your request not be
completed as approved, this approval can be revoked and the modification will be required to be removed by
you and at your expense. You are responsible for contacting the appropriate Utility Companies before any
digging commences. You are responsible for and repair costs to any damage done to the relevant common
area. You will comply with the State, County or City building codes and to obtain all necessary permits and
abide by the decision of the Architectural Control Committee or the Board of Directors. If your modification is
not approved or does not comply, you may be subject to all costs and attorneys fees born by the SCHOA if
legal action is required; and that this approval is valid for no more that 180 days from the date hereof.
Our approval is limited to the aesthetics of your proposed change and does not constitute any certification or
,warranty as to -the construction worthiness or structural -integrity of the change -you propose. Be aware that

2. AA ASM 35 and Specifications for Aluminum Structures, Part 1-A of
the Aluminum Design Manual prepared by The Aluminum
Association, Inc. Washington, D.C., 2010 Edition and the Guide to
Aluminum Construction in high wind areas, 2010.
3. ASCE 7-10.
4. Scope of Work: Does not include analysis of existing structure.

Specifications
The following specifications are applicable to this project:
1. All work shall be in accordance with the Sth Edition (2014) Florida
Building Code, and any other applicable local codes and regulations.
2. Aluminum extrusions shall be 6005 T5 Alloy. Due to quality control
issues, no manufacturer substitution is acceptable without the specific
written, signed and sealed authorization of Sunc oast Aluminum
Engineering, LLC.
3. Fasteners are required to be corrosion resistant, minimum SAE Grade
2 or better zinc plated to ASTM B633, or coated stainless steel series
"300", or uncoated stainless steel series "400".
4. All Self Mating Beam Sections are to be stitched with either #14
screws 6" from ends and 24" center to center or # 12 screws 6" from
ends and 12" center to center.
5. Where concrete specifications are required, whether in the screen
enclosure scope or not, by one or more regulatory agency, the
following specifications are applicable:
a. Concrete shall conform to ASTM C94 for the following
components:
i. Portland Cement Type 1,- ASTM C 150
ii. Aggregates - Large Aggregate 3/4" max - ASTM C 33
iii. Air entraining +/- I% - ASTM C 260
iv. Water reducing agent - ASTM C 494
v. Clean Potable water
vi. Other admixtures not'permitted
b. Metal accessories shall conform to:
i. Reinforcing Bars - ASTM A615, grade 60
ii. Welded wire fabric - ASTM A 185
c. Concrete slump at discharge chute not less than 3" or more
than 5". Water added after batching is not permitted.
d. Prepare and place concrete per American Concrete Institute
Manual of Standard Practice, Parts 1, 2, and 3 including hot
weather recommendations.
e. Moist cure or polyethylene curing permitted.
f. Prior to placing concrete, treat the entire subsurface area for
termites in compliance with the FBC.
g. Concrete shall be placed over a polyethylene vapor barrier.
h. All aluminum components embedded within concrete shall be
coated with a bituminous paint or epoxy.
6. All flashing and weatherproofing shall be provided by the contractor.
7. Use of these plans acknowledges and accepts a limit of liability not to
exceed design and engineering fee.
