GENERALNOTES
1. ALL FLOORS AND WALLS OF POOL TO BE CONSTRUCTED USING PNEUMATICALLY APPLIED CONCRETE
WITH 28 DAY STRENGTH OF 2500 PSI.
2. REINFORCING STEEL SHALL CONFORM TO A. S.T. M. 615 GRADE 60
3, PIPING TO BE SCHEDULE 40 PVC BEARING NSF APPROVAL.
4, POOLS TO BE CONSTRUCTED ONLY ON CLEAN SAND OR ROCK. SOILS IN FINAL BACKFILL SHALL BE
COMPACTED TO PROVIDE A MINIMUM BEARING CAPACITY OF 1000 ESE. ALL UNSUITABLE MATERIALS SHALL
BE REMOVED AND REPLACED WITH CLEAN SAND PLACED AND COMPACTED IN 12" LIFTS.
5. ALL BACKFILL SHALL BE PLACED WITH CARE IN ORDER TO ENSURE THAT PLUMBING IS NOT DISTURBED.
ALL FILL SHALL BE CLEAN SAND PLACED IN 12" LIFTS AND COMPACTED TO 98%OF MAXIMUM DENSITY.
6. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL TAKE ANY NECESSARY PRECAUTIONS IN ORDER TO PROTECT EXISTING
STRUCTURES AFFECTED BY THE CONSTRUCTION. THE DESIGN ENGINEER ACCEPTS NO RESPONSIBILITY
FOR THE SAFETY OF EXISTING STRUCTURES.
7. ENGINEERING PLOT PLANS WERE NOT PREPARED FROM LEGAL SURVEYS OF THE EXISTING LOT AND
RESIDENCE. POOL CONTRACTOR AND/OR OWNER SHALL VERIFY ALL DIMENSIONS IN THE FIELD AND
ESTABLISH LOT LINES WHEN NECESSARY. POOL CONTRACTOR AND/OR OWNER SHALL VERIFY LAYOUT
SHOWN AND ALL DIMENSIONS PRIOR TO CONSTRUCTION. AS SUCH, THE ENGINEER ASSUMES NO
RESPONSIBILITY FOR POOL CONSTRUCTION IN EASEMENTS OR REQUIRED SETBACKS.
8, CONTRACTOR SHALL LOCATE ALL EXISTING UTILITIES ON SITE AND SHALL MAINTAIN MINIMUM
SEPARATIONS AS REQUIRED BY LOCAL REGULATIONS, GENERALLY, ELECTRICAL LINES SHALL BE A
MINIMUM OF 10 FEET FROM OPEN WATER.
9, ALL UNSCREENED POOLS SHALL HAVE A FENCE A MINIMUM OF 4 FEET IN HEIGHT WITH SELF-LOCKING
GATES.
10. WHERE POOLS ABUTOR ARE PLACED NEAR SEAWALLS OR BULKHEADS SPECIAL CARE SHOULD BE TAKEN.
NOTIFY ENGINEER OF THIS CONDITION FOR ANALYSIS AND RE -DESIGN IF NECESSARY.
11. PATIO DESIGN MAY BE NOTED TO BE COMPLETED BY OTHERS. WHEN NOTED, ANY DETAILS REFERRING TO
PATIO DESIGN ARE NOT APPLICABLE. THE TYPICAL WALL SECTIONS OF POOL ARE NOT APPLICABLE TO
PAVEMENT DESIGN.
12. VACUUM LINE SHALL INCLUDE A SPRING LOADED SELF CLOSING COVER.
13. THE SWIMMING POOL HAS BEEN DESIGNED TO MEET 2014 FLORIDA BUILDING CODE, AS WELL AS
ANSI/APSP-7, AND SHALL BE ANSI 15 COMPLIANT.
14. BASE MATERIAL THICKNESS MUST BE 125%OF CONCRETE FASTENER EMBEDMENT.
