Lucie County, Permitting Sirs: This letter is in response to the permit comments on the documents issued for permit. The revisions to documents in response to the permit comments are tagged and clouded as Revision #1. Revision #2 includes documents for additional revisions dealing with the exterior remodel and Electrical and Mechanical (HVAC). 1. Comment: Need detailed design for proposed footings. Response: The design for the footings is described in note #7 sheet S2.1. 2. Comment: Need Engineering analysis of the structural regarding the interior walls that are proposed to be removed and replaced with beams. Response: Acknowledged, The structural calculations are attached. Refer to the revised Beam sizes on schedule sheet S2.1. and plan revisions. Refer to A4.3 for added building section. 3. Comment: Need details of installation of joist supports on new beams. Response: The joists to be anchored to the new or existing beams with Simpson anchors-1-110, H2.5A, or any other connector on Anchor Schedule on A0.2. As noted on sheet S2.1 4. Comment: Need to complete work for the demolition Permit. Response: Acknowledged. Contractor and Owner will perform as required. 5. Comment: Email with comments sent 10/22/2021 Response: Acknowledged Revision #2 description: • The exterior finish of the house is being replaced. o The Original (historical) house will be getting new Hard! shiplap siding to resemble the original, after vinyl siding, and multiple layer of substrate are removed down to the original sheathing boards. Then a CDX plywood sheathing is applied, then moisture/ vapor barrier building wrap with some insulation value installed under the cementitious siding. o The garage on the North and the Sunroom on the South will be getting a stone veneer. o Refer to details on A4.3 for installation of both cementitious siding and the stone veneer. • The windows and doors are to be replaced with impact resistant and storm type throughout. The replacement windows will maintain the original character of the house. o Storm shutters resembling the original wilt replace existing damaged shutters. 0 • The Electrical service and devices to be replaced and Mechanical equipment being replaced/ upgraded to the house are added as part of Revision 2.
