Good morning Angela, I have spoken with Kevin Donovan at length regards to obtaining a local permit for the canopy top over his dock. The dock is already under permit. The reason the District has directed the property owner to the local building department is to ensure if a permit is required, the local department is included in the review process. The District has issued a permit for the canopy. In that review, the USACE review has been completed and the project is exempt by DEP. Please reply as to if a local permit is required. Otherwise, this will conclude the review and inspections for this property.
