WORK INSPECTED:
Units 409 & 609
OBSERVATIONS:
Unit 409
• (6) PT cables have been locked off and new cable sections have been spliced at the north balcony edge.
• (2) #4 bursting bars behind the PT cables have been replaced.
• All exposed reinforcing bars have been power tool cleaned and coated with the approved corrosion inhibitor.
• Form boards for the first pour are in progress.
Unit 609
• (1) PT cable at the north edge has been re-stressed and the post pocket is ready for repair.
• The surface spall under SGD the has been repaired and concrete has been placed.
• The SGD has been reinstalled and the temporary wall has been removed.
RECOMMENDATIONS:
Unit 409
• Place concrete at the balcony edge, leaving the PT cable splice coupler and lock off plate exposed.
• Allow the concrete to cure a minimum of 72 hours prior to re-stressing the cables.
• Remove the remaining abandoned core mounted railing posts at the north and west balcony edges.
Unit 609
• Grout PT pocket solid with high strength non-shrink grout.
