About KSM Engineering: KELLER, SCHLEICHER AND MACWILLIAM ENGINEERING AND TESTING, Inc. (dba KSM Engineering) a corporation organized and existing under the laws of the State of Florida, qualified to do business by the Florida Department of Professional Regulation, Certificate of Authorization # 5693. Company History: KSM is a multi -discipline professional service firm based out of Sebastian, Florida founded by three principals; Ron Keller P.E., Terry Schleicher and ES MacWilliam in May of 1990. Each of the three founders lived locally near the Sebastian area for several years working for other engineering and constructions firms but saw a need for a single firm that provided not only geotechnical and material testing but structural engineering as well. KSM was born to provide timely, high quality, cost-effective engineering and soil work for both commercial and residential business located on the Treasure Coast. In 2009, Julie Keller P.E. joined the firm and took over as President after Ron Keller retired. She began to expand the service area from the Treasure Coast up to the Space Coast and Palm Beaches. In 2019, Bryan Dahlke P.E. joined the firm as Vice President of Engineering. His primary directive is to bring the firms unique approach to the Central Florida market. The company's work production is primarily concentrated in geotechnical and construction materials testing along with structural engineering consulting. These activities are supported by our drilling capabilities, certified technicians and two in-house laboratories. Professional and Technical Staff: KSM provides a professional engineering team with a collective 40+ years of experience in the geotechnical and structural industry. Our experienced adminastrive staff and certified technicians work closely with our engineers to exceed our client expectations time after time. Julie Keller, P.E. President Ms. Keller has worked for over 23 years in the construction/engineering field. She started at KSM when she was 15 sweeping the floors and worked for the company until she left for college. In college years, she worked at various geotechnical firms and did time studying the effects of sink holes. She has had a few years' experience as a construction inspector as well as several years of experience in the geotechnical engineering field. She worked 4 years for a land development company in Central Florida and therefore is very familiar with land development regulations. She specifically took the job in land development in order to better understand the needs of her clients from a geotechnical side. She is also a structural inspector and has been the engineer on various residential and commercial structural projects. All her work experience has been in Florida and therefore, she is very knowledgeable with various municipalities and their regulations. ES MacWilliam Vice President of Operations Mr. MacWilliam has 43 years' experience in the local construction industry of which the last thirty four years has been concentrated in soils and construction materials testing. This work included operating a drill rig to construct standard penetration borings and construction materials testing equipment. He oversees the day to day operations of a variety of projects including but not limited to; client coordination, the scheduling of the engineering technicians along with drill crews and laboratory procedures. Vice President of Engineering Mr. Dahlke has over 18 year of experience in the construction/engineering field. His primary roll has been one of a structural engineer, structural consultant including third party structural inspections, expert witness and forensic investigations. He has worked for two structural firms in the Orlando area providing structural engineering services for both the residential and commercial industry all over the state of Florida including a couple projects outside the state. With the majority of his work experience in the Central Florida area, he is very knowledgeable with a various municipalities and their regulations. He joined the firm in order to expand his experience in the field of geotechnical engineering and to bring his experience in "outside the box" problem solving and excellent customer service to the company. Mick Ellison Regional Business Development Manager Mr. Ellison is a career -long regional technical sales representative and sales manager with over a decade of residential, commercial, industrial and geotechnical construction along with estimating experience. A native of Brevard County with a proud history of family NASA contractor engineers, he is very enthusiastic about growth in the greater Central Florida area. He has previously successfully grown a combined construction materials and services territory including NM., CO., AZ., UT., along with FL. but calls Central Florida home. Mr. Ellison is an alumnus of N.M.S.U. (Aggies) and U.N.M. (Lobos) in Business Administration. Chris LeBrun, E.I. Staff Geotechnical Engineer Mr. LeBrun has over 4 years of experience in the construction/engineering field. When leaving college with his engineering degree, he did inspections for bridge engineering along with transportation engineering design in New York state. When he joined the firm in 2018, he took over doing structural inspections in the field along with performing various laboratory testing, field explorations and reviewing geotechnical reports. He will be sitting for the Professional Engineering exam in the coming months.
